[Sword & Shield] Light ball not working?

    Hey I have pokemon shield, i spent alot of work getting this lightball because I wanted to play the game with pikachu without worrying about him being too weak, problem is I cought 2 pikachu with lightball and it doesn't have any effect on their stats...what's going on? I thought it was supposed to increase special attack and att?
     
    Yo anyone there?? I've looked all over the internet and joined countless threads and no one is answering me. Plz someone... the eviolit doesnt show a difference in stats either. . .
     
    there isn't going to be a visible difference in stats in the summary screen, that's not how those items work. it's a modifier, and so is eviolite.

    also it's been an hour since you've made this thread give it some time for people to respond lol
