What the heck is happening to Linkin Park?

For most of the week, a countdown clock was on the front page of Linkin Park's website. The clock expired at 2:15 p.m. US Eastern Time, glitched a little, and it started counting back up again. Then they posted this on their X.

What is happening? So many rumors are going around regarding a new lead singer to take Chester's place. Originally it was Deryck Whibley from Sum 41 who would be announced, but he shot the rumor mill down after announcing it wasn't him. Other fans are speculating a female lead vocalist who went viral months ago. There's so many theories.

I'm a huge fan of LP since the start, and while I would love to see a reunion or a comeback, I think the band should stay as is, in my opinion. Chester's passing was tragic and sad and whoever does become the next lead singer has some SHOES to fill.

What does everyone think? Do we anticipate a new lead singer? Maybe a tour? New unreleased music????

No clue but Linkin Park is one of my favorite bands so it'll be interesting to see what happens.

Well, we know now. New music and a new lead vocalist in Emily Armstrong.

Honestly, I'm happy with the new music and with Emily. I'm not familiar with Dead Sara, but I'm curious about them now because she's great. I'm sure some people are going to be disappointed, but it's not like there was ever going to be a second Chester. She's got the grit and the range to fit the band though and their new single sounds good. I'm here for it.

Yeah I don't give a shit about this 'controversy'. As long as the songs are good I literally don't care about anything else. That's it. That's all I care about. Are the new songs good? Yes? The STFU because nothing else really matters unless someone gets arrested or something.
