So this is mostly out of curiosity, but to outline the thread a bit...
I find that there are some trends that crop up when I listen to music. For example I will never add singles songs to a playlist; the whole album will get put in even if I only like song. I very much change what I listen with each season, with more upbeat pop-like songs as we approach summer and more emotional songs as we approach winter.
