Live 8 has just started here in the UK!

Started with U2 and Sir Paul McCartney in hyde Park, singing "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club", then U2 singing "It's a Beautiful Day"!

What's going on anywhere else for Live 8?

    Discuss!

Over here, in the US, it starts at Noon. So only 3 hours left until it starts, for me. I hope someone good starts the Live 8 here. Wouldn't want someone crappy like P. Diddy XD But it's most likely to be someone crappy, cause the US lineup has mostly crappy people o.O

o.O So that means Bon Jovi was up already? Darn it! I missed him. Anyways Bitter Sweet Symphony is one of my favorite songs, so it was awesome when Coldplay did it. I forgot who they did it with, though. Hehe

EDIT: That line up is wrong. Cause Bon Jovi was just on a minute ago. Thank god I didnt miss him XD

    THE KILLERS WERE AWESOME!!!!!!

U2's "Beautiful Day" performance was just pure *AWESOME*

Coldplay + The Verve = PWNAGE!!!!

It started out disappointing but then MTV redeemed itself. =3

I've been watching the US concert for a bit (but came back to London to watch the Scissor Sisters) and I can see you guys got jipped big time. PINK FLOYD'S COMING BACK SOON! o.o

My favourites have been Razorlight and Madonna so far, although I am looking forward to The Who and Pink Floyd.

    i didnt watch it but i was listening to kerrang and green day were out of tune 0.o;;

Yeah, US lineup has nothing compared to the UK lineup. But Jay-Z and Linkin Park performance was a show stealer. Possibly the best in the whole concert.

Yeah, we(me/family) all switched to the US one and watched linkin parks thing XD, Sting is on now, he is truly the pwn, hes gonna sing 'Every breath you take', and thats one of my fav songs ever XD

Guys, don't forget the REAL cause of the Live 8 concerts!

Over 21 Million have already signed the petition (me, too)

So sign the petition now and we can make a difference!

I watched it, to tell you the truth, I had to wait 8 whole hours for Linkin' Park XD
But, all of 'em were good, too. I can't believe that every three seconds, a child dies. That's just... so sad ;(

But Jay-Z and Linkin Park performance was a show stealer. Possibly the best in the whole concert.
*nods head 1,000,000* They were da' bomb!

Now, I only wished that the leaders would hurry up and eliminate poverty already. I hate seing innocent suffer... *Signs name on List*

I SAW MY NAME ON THE LIST sorry bout that
I recorded the whole greenday performance and the who last song on my mobile there my memories and nelson mandela's speech is moving very moving to me at least

It's sad to see those poverty stricken children in Africa who are literally just skin and bones. If we can all convince the G8 to drop the debt, we can all make a difference.

Live Aid 1985 show stealer - U2 - 9 minute long rendition of "Bad". Said to be U2's greatest performance ever.

Live 8 2005 show stealer - Linkin Park and Jay-Z - 5 part medley of their collaboration.

Best Moment of the show - Live 8 London Finale. All of the artists in the UK lineup singing together just like in Live Aid. It's going to be the best and I'll tape it for sure!

This Is Going To Cause Trouble

I think Live 8 is a great idea, it's a great idea when clebrities put their money where their mouths are instead of crying to the government for help. Now with that being said, Live 8 isn't going to make a **** bit of difference! 20 years ago, Live Aid (Has it been that long? I'm getting old!) raised millions of dollars for aid to Africa. Did you know that most of the money didn't get to the people it was supposed to help? Most of it was stolen by dictators and other African government officials. Even if all of the debt to the third world is forgiven, until the corruption is cleaned up and the ethnic hatred is dealt with, many African, as well as other, nations will suffer.
