Hi, guys! Okay, so, in my defense, I'm new around here, and when I asked about the best place to post this, I was directed here. Sorry if that's a problem! :(

Okay, moving on. Over ten years ago, back in the nineties (around the year the first Pokemon Stadium was released), my sister and I came across an unusual fanfic: a mix-mash of Pokemon and Animorphs. Now, we weren't big Animorph fans, but we did love our Pokemon, so we read it, all of it. Or, at least as far as it got (but I'll get to that in a moment).

So, in an effort to recapture my childhood, I've decided to hunt down that most beloved fic. The only problem is, I can't find it! Whatever website it was on has long since vanished from my memory, (and been obliterated by whatever machine destroyed our old computer). I don't remember the title, nor the author. Which is where you guys come in. If any of the stuff I mention below sounds familiar, PLEASE tell me. You might have found what I'm looking for!

    So, here we go:
    1. The website had a black background. The chapters were all archived.
    2. I believe the first chapter opened up with two kids playing Pokemon Stadium. Specifically, one guy was trying to keep his friend from guessing his next move by pressing the yellow C buttons instead of opening the moves menu.
    3. The Pokemorphs' guides were (I think) two Mews. One of whom watched the credits of a movie/show and got dizzy. One MIGHT have been named Boris.
    4. Before each chapter, there was a hand-drawn cover, like a comic.
    5. There were multiple Pokemorphs, boys and girls.
    6. The Pokemorphs avoided the "clothes" problem like the Animorphs did: by wearing skintight clothing.
    7. The Pokemorphs had to touch a Pokemon (which would calm immediately at contact) in order to transform into it.
    8. While I think there was only one author involved, there were hints/implications that the fic was a group effort.
    9. The fic was discontinued with an apology letter from the author about being unable to (or too bored to) continue the fic.

    Thanks for your help!

Holy **** someone else remembers it. That Pokemorphs series was literally what got me into fanfiction, being the very first fanfic I ever read and which inspired me to try my hand at writing. It is indeed just called Pokemorphs (which presents searching problems as that's also a term for anthro Pokemon), and was written by a girl called Melissa in real life apparently, although she went by Rachel online at the time she posted this. When she quit she changed her name to Spirit Wolf, however I suspect that's no longer what she goes by now.

The original site has been long dead, although I think there may be some mirrors around that I just can't track down right now. I do however have saved copies of all fourteen books, plus the deluxe, choose your own adventure, amd "Mew Chronicles" spin-offs as well as the journal she posted after abandoning it outlining her plans for the future of the series. I don't have the cover art she drew for some of them, however, but if I recalled correctly she only did a handful of pictures anyway.

I've gone and zipped up my archive and uploaded them here.

Oh, and the part with them playing Stadium seems to be the opening for book 13, the next to final book that was written. The Mews are named Bounce and Blitz, with Boris being one of the Pokemorphs.

Man, this series brings back memories. Yes it is terribly written by my current standards, but it inspired me so much. I also see that it was the cause for my horrid chapter structure back in those old days, with several smaller chapters composed into a "book" all in one go... Yeah, my first fanfic posted on Serebii was locked because I used that structure. <_< After she discontinued it I went and tried to make my own continuations to it, however they all failed. Two of those attempts are the earliest of my fanfics I still have though, although they're the later versions that have little connection to the original series.

Anyway, hope this is what you're looking for. It pretty much sounds spot on.

EDIT: I've made another version of the archive, replacing the .doc files for some of the stuff with plain .txt files in case you don't have Microsoft Word or Open Office. I think they were txt originally anyway, no idea why I converted them to doc... I replaced the link above with it.

It's great that we could help you find that fic. Just going to close this now so that there's no random postings.
