Looking for a fan show i watched back in 2008/2009ish

Hello all and thank you for taking your time to join me on the hunt. So here's what I'm looking for, back then there was a fan show made by a guy on YouTube. He had modified a version of Pokemon Fire red so that he could create his own story. It was a recent story and for some reason I loved it and would wait like a puppy for each nrwew episode that the guy would release. And for me, at a time where I had no hope or inspiration (I was 12 band had a lot of family problems) so being able to find this series and watch it however silly it may have been , would be amazing and thank and be grateful to anyone who might remember what it was called.

Hmm... Maybe try and remember a few more details. Were there anime characters in it or was he just playing the game? What differences from real FireRed were there? Etc

I don't remember what years they were from, but was it Pokémon Real World, Pokémon Gangster, or Water Pokémon Legend? I believe those were around that time.

Alrighty, really wished I'd came back when people started replying... Anyway, I should've given a,more detailed description of what it was, so here is all I remember.
It was a Pokemom Emerald hack I believe, it had its own story, the guy using it like many of the above suggestions used the games as a template for creating their own story. It was about an orphan who couldn't make his mind up on whether he was a good guy or a bad guy (I don't remember what they called him, but I do know they left mays name as may). They were trying to stop team magma, then he went to Kanto and it switched to a firered template and he went around Kanto trying to stop this giant odd plot. Last I remember watching it for whatever reason he had crossovered Harry Potter into it which had something to do with sabrina. There were two seasons " " that he made of it. That's about all I remember, just looking for something from a time where I dissociated a lot and don't have many memories left of the time. Thank you all for your help so far!
