I started working on this several weeks ago but honestly after work I'm just too tired to even work on it. However I've not given up on it. I've just not got the energy for it at the moment. However, if I could form a small team to work on this as a project I would certainly find the energy!
A few extra features of the game besides only the original 151 (all obtainable, no trade) would be:
-An extra rival, Green. Green using the third starter and taking the sprite of the unused protagonist.
-Make Team Rocket a bit more interesting.
-A light redesign to all the cities/routes to make it feel a little bit more refreshing.
-Gym leaders having "events" where you re-battle them. Perhaps you find Brock training in Rock Tunnel?
-A special event after the Pokedex is completed that I will not spoil.
-Give some buffs to Pokemon/moves that need it. Examples of this being making some bug moves stronger and making Flareon special so it's no longer the garbage of the trio.
-Physical/Special Split.
-And if I find a skilled rom-hacker willing to help me I would love to include a variation of the Battle Frontier as well. More than any of the others, the one I would want most implemented is the Battle Factory. If you don't know which one that is, it's the one where you use rental Pokemon. Imagine 2 variations of all fully evolved/no evolution Pokemon?
-New Main Menu/Intro (If I can figure it out without wanting to punch my monitor.)
-Breeding available earlier on.
-A different 8th gym leader, using an entirely different type than ground.
-TM's reusable or all infinitely obtainable some way.
Here are a few things I would like to change as well but aren't deal breakers:
-Change some of the music.
-Change the tileset of Saffron City. I really cannot stand the look of that yellow. I'm thinking silver and blue?
-Change some of the TM's that no one in their right mind would use.
For the most part its a simple hack. I'd also like to mention that I really dislike when rom hacks embrace the real world. I like to keep the two separate. I also hate seeing foul language, poor grammar, and misspelled words in rom hacks. I like feeling like the hack I'm playing could actually be a real Pokemon game. No hate to the people that share a different opinion, but you won't find that in my hack. Even though I've got this all worked out in my head I guess I'm just lacking the proper motivation to fully invest in it currently. Someone kick my butt into gear. :/
