Love at first sight?

    ehe :3, anyways, me and my friend Misha had an interesting talk about finding love at first site. so i was wondering, do you believe in love at first site? and why?
    i though this was completely bogus, but it got me thinking deeply...

    when i was in 4th grade, there was this really pretty new girl, and sure enough, i though she was the one for me (i was in 4th grade >.< :P) but then i ended up creeping her out and err lets just say it didnt go very well 3x </3

    anyways, im probbably boring you to death with my silly stories, so posts your thoughts about this >:-D

    Although actually it was "love at first hear" because I heard him before I saw him. I don't really know how I know. It just...happened. But I'm so happy it did because I feel like flying every time I think of him. Love is a beautiful thing and I really do feel sorry for the people who don't believe in it :/

    Yes you can, if you're so shallow you base if off looks (or riches, if the person looks rich.)

    So, sort of. If you're an actual human being with emotions, you don't fall in love at first sight. However if you're a robot who loves looks, power, money, etc, then yes you can.

    I don't think "love" can be found at first sight. A large "crush/infatuation/whatever you want to call it" is probably more like it. I think that mainly because at first "sight," you've only really seen the appearance of the person. Who knows what they're really like? That's just me, though.

    Maybe I'm just sore because I have bad memories of 8th grade. A new guy moved to our school and, by the end of the first school day, he was going out with some popular girl. They had, like, one class together. 90 minutes. Wow. That's a lot of time to get to know someone.

    That's just me, though. I just don't like judging solely based on appearance. I feel like I have to get to know someone first before it becomes "love."
     
    When I first found PokeCommunity I knew it would be the only forum for me.

    Not at first sight, no, but I believe you can fall in love with someone the first time you meet them and you get to talking and learning about each other. I've seen it happen.

    It took me almost 3 years to fall in love with this one girl since I knew her and over 2 more years to realize how much of an idiot I am. So no, i don't believe in love at first sight.
     
    I do believe in it, but it's really just lust. Not love love. And it's happened to me many times. I just see this girl I think is really cute. But half of the time, I wouldn't give a damn if I never even saw them again.

    But it happened to me once, where it was just uncontrollable. And I went as far as I could with the relationship. And it has gone far. : P

    Pretty much what ~Bloodex said. I don't think first love is really love, as you don't know the person, and know their personality and such things. But when you get the know them, that lust turns into a crush, then a like, then eventually if you keep at it, a love.

    I don't think there was a time for me when I saw love a first site. XD; maybe the second, or third, or twentieth-thousandth, but never the first.
     
    No, I don't believe in that. Love at first sight is only Lust at first sight. You can't fall in love by simply looking at a person. It takes months, even years to truly get to know someone and fall in love.
     
    I believe if you want to do anything to see that person smile and be happy without feeling lust or other intense emotions then you've got love at first sight.

    Sometimes when you hate someone at first you'll end up falling for them.

    Who really knows, it's one of those things that can't really be explained and doesn't have an answer.
     
    there was a time when i would answer yes to this question. and well lets just say it didnt turn out very well. so after that i hardly believe in love at all anymore.

    Just sharing an opinion here, but I think that's really...not shallow, but...I don't know. Not giving things a chance. It annoys me when people have a bad breakup and they end up swearing off love forever. It never does last. Love is too powerful for that.
     
    YES i beleave we had this friend my friend knew and when i saw here snap i like fell in love idk why but i just did :D shes soo great` soo i kept talking to her for a long time like a year and i havent seen her for about 4 months and i still love her shes the most beutiful girl i ever seen maybe not to every one else but i love her :DD
     
    I used to believe in it, but by the time I went out with my first girlfriend, I had a think about it after we broke up and thought it was a load of rubbish. Seeing as my ex apparently fell in love with me 'at first sight' too.

    i never said i completely gave up on it. i just dont go wishing and trying to find it like i used to. when i find someone i really care about then i will probably love again. but i have had way to many horrible horrible relationships to go chasing love anymore. most of them i wish i could erase from my memories, very bad times. :(
