nope it accually good i give you better stats wen u lvl up kinda like ev training

It is a virus that is the equivalent of your infected Poke holding the Macho Brace, without the nasty side effect of affecting your speed. When you battle a Poke, you get twice the EV points. Just remember that your Poke will only be contageous for 24 hours. If you don't infect your other Pokes and keep one in your PC then you are going to lose that effect.
