    well i was on my evening stroll through goldenrod and i decided to go to the GTS.

    just me and meh pokemon.

    when i got into the GTS room, i searched for a Chikorita (i had chosen totdile and was looking for a new starter)

    i found a person who was trading a level 5 chikorita and for a any level Mankey. YES a mankey. Well obviously it wasnt a big deal for me because Mankey was exclusive to my heartgold.

    i was so happay!

    have any of you had a lucky find in the GTS?
     
    Chances are it might've been hacked D: Or some nice trainer could've bred it :3
     
    Maybe it was someone who hated Chikorita, needed a Mankey since they have Soul Silver, and used the GTS to get it :P

    Hacked Pokemon have weird summaries (missing certain areas); they also might have moves incapable of being learned normally through TMs, breeding, and normal level-up (some event Pokemon have odd moves; they're not hacked, though). On top of that, they might have nearly perfect IVs and buffed-up stats.

    Hacked Pokemon are easy to spot, really lol Just know your moves and your stats.
     
    ^ Yes, you can, although it'd be a timely (and slightly risky) method. But use the Help thread for questions next time, please. =P
