4th Gen Lugia - Respawn after beating Elite Four?

    From what I understand, the roaming legendaries (Raikou and Entei) respawn after the Elite Four is beaten, if they are killed.

    However, according to some people, the same is true for Lugia.
    Is this correct?

    I'm wondering, because I'm thinking of trying to get one with decent IVs, but I don't feel like resetting a million times right now, and RNG'ing seems to be problematic at this point in the game (before Kanto). If it does respawn after beating the Elite Four, I could just knock it out and come back to catch it after beating the game.
     
    Yeah, it probably does, according to my memories (haven't played HGSS for a while). I once knocked out my Lugia in SS and continued to the elite four (just because I was getting tired of the storyline), then came back to the cave and caught it ^^
     
    Yes, they will respawn.
