4th Gen Lvl 80 Magikarp?!?!?

The highest pokemon and it just had to be a Magikarp.

Well, at least it's not a bidoof.

Yeah, I experienced it. A while ago.

On my friend's Platinum & they went & huggled me.

I've never gone to get magikarps in the Resort Area but I hear they can be any level.
 
Nope...never found one that high. Highest level Magikarp I've found there is around level 73...but I don't really spend a lot of time looking for Magikarp there, anyway. ^^ I suppose sometimes it can be fun though, when you're bored.

Ah, I should have thought of that!

Especially since, at level 100, Magikarp cannot grow any more, so cannot evolve. That would be mean but funny.
 
You guys are lucky. The highest I've caught was one Lv.73. After that, all I found (and still do) are levels 40-60.
 
No, but I once traded for a level (around) 90 on the GTS. I looked at the stats and it said the Magikarp was caught at level eighty eight at the Resort Area, I was rather confused but soon figured out they have a high level range around that area.
 
Yeah you can catch a Magikarp from Level 1-100 with a super rod. While a good rod can onyl catch like up to Level 50 and the old rod can catch Magikarps that are Level 15 or under.
