Ive never bought it, nor have I made any ingame trades if I can catch the Pokémon in the game (leaving just Jynx, Farfetch'd and Mr. Mime etc).

But when I complete these games, I think, for completeness, Ill trade them and buy the Magikarp and then train them, just for the fun of it i spose.

In my old Red, i used to use Gyarados alot, but only when i got the old rod in Vermilion and then trained it. Obviously not much use against Surge thought, is it?

Yeah I do usually buy it. I mean its worth the 500$ and if you have the patience to evolve it itll have bite which is good against Misty.

Yeah, I bought it on Leafgreen. I had a Gyrados by the third gym.

Money wasn't a problem for me.

I didn't buy it, but if you did you would probably get a Gyarados way earlier in the game. It's better to EV train a Gyarados, the wild ones only know Thrash.

xD yeah i bought one, just cause i wanted a gyarados very early in the game

I find it easier to just catch a Gryados (God, I'm so sure I spelled that wrong!) out in the wild at a nice level 51 (: Can't go wrong there

...Good Lord. Don't bump threads over a month old. That includes the years, too. :|

Locked.
