    I would really, really like to horde battle a shiny ekans using sweet scent on route 14 BUT IT WILL NOT STOP RAINING X_X FOR THE PAST TWO DAYS! Is there any way to make it stop?

    There's no preset date that determines rain in the game, it happens at random times although I believe it's more often on Route 14 than most other places. If it's not raining you can just leave, wait a while and then come back.

    Personally, I find shiny hunting by battling in hordes to be sort of a… hassle. xD;;; I've tried it plenty of times before, but haven't been able to encounter a shiny Pokémon even once, unfortunately. It does raise your chances, but not that significantly.
     
    I'm getting the shiny charm before I even attempt to hunt down shinies. I've been masuda'ing them but I've yet to find one. I did however trade a Kyogre for a shiny Charizard. :)
     
    Alternatively, if you're not fussed on which member you catch, Arbok can be found on another route in Horde Battles...provided it is not raining on that route either. It's the route where you battle your "rivals" on top of the bridge.
