    Does anyone watch this show?

    discuss

No, but a few friends on facebook were talking about it and saying it was good
could you please tell me what it is about

I don't know this series, but the description reminds me of this jungle camp crap (i know this is not really a nice word to use, but nothing else fits here. seriously.) that's once per year in german TV. Some prominent idiots (again, there's no other fitting word) go voluntarily into the jungle, and have to do a lot of weird stuff like eating maggots there (which they are aware of before, thus i call them idiots). Probably the worst thing in the entire TV program, even worse than all these casting shows.

for tl;dr people: I don't know it, but heard quite often about something that sounds in some way similar to it and lacks any niveau, so I hope it is NOT similar to it

I used to watch it all the time, but now that I've lost interest in tv I barely see it anymore. I used to watch Survivorman too which was almost the same thing as Man vs Wild except he didn't have a camera crew with him.

lol, that wouldn't be very entertaining...

It's hilarious, Bear Grylls is a man's man. He runs around and eats god-awful things like giant worms or larvae and then promptly gets diarrhea and walks it off. Course he prolly eats the tuna sandwiches and tums when the camera's aren't rolling, but who cares? It's good fun. They even say at the start that it isn't just him, so it's really not "staged", per se.

I adore this show. Yeah, people say that SurivorMan or whatever is better because that guy doesn't have a camera crew with him but, the point of ManvsWild is to SHOW you how to survive. He doesn't actually go out there in the middle of nowhere, if you watch behind the scenes stuff, sometimes there's roads and civilization right next to him. He only shows you how to survive if you were actually lost out there, I do have to say that this is one of my favorite shows.
