Hello Peoples. Some of these pokemon/ fakemon are for show, some are for my new game I'm working on.
    Fakemon
Mustlax- Evo. of Snorlax. Evolves in day While holding the mega weight.
Equalo- The equal sign to Plusle and Minun.
    Sonach- Evo. Of Chatot

    Revamps
    Pikachu

Tell me if there is anything I need to work on.

Also now I have a revamp project.

The shading needs serious work. The anatomy is also lacking. It doesn't even make sense either for Snorlax to evolve into something smaller. The only Pokemon that does that is Gloom into Bellossom.

    This is fine.

It looks more like a fusion of Chatot x Pidgeot with a mace scratched onto its head. It's somewhat bizarre looking, yet it doesn't look very creative.

I'm pretty sure I've seen this before. I call art theft.

Alright, as said before, 00berlax needs some anatomy and shading rework. Since it is impossible for someone to have a torso that large and legs and lower body that small, you'll need to make the upper body smaller, and the lower body larger. The head is also an edited copy and paste which doesn't match up with the rest of the body.
    Your Pikachu is nice.
Your Chatot is a recolored Pidgeot with a Chatot head post on it. The only problem is that the Chatot head is too small for the Pidgeot body. And the fact that it's only a recolor with a C+P and a scratch mace. Which doesn't make sense for the kind of Pokemon Chatot is. It's a MUSIC Pokemon.
I'm not sure if the Equal thing is sprite theft, but it's incredibly unoriginal. Most likely someone created a similar sprite and Tsk got it confused.

To Tsk:Well Mustlax is a Pokemon that gets smaller because it worked off the weight and Sonich's is head is supposed to resemble that double music note and I made Equalo which is a common design.
To NovaPirate: I'm working on redesigning Mustlax righ now. For Sonach, the mace is supposed to be that one doulbe music note but its also used as a weapon. And thank you about the compliment for Pikachu :)

It doesn't really look like a double music note. You might want to edit that, and take off the spikes. And make the head larger or the body smaller, as I said before, they don't match up.

And you never explained Mustlax's magical ability to break gravity with that odd anatomy. Also, you should not see the bottom of the foot, unless he is sitting down. If he is indeed sitting down, then he will most likely be flexing a different way, because the current style would be a very odd position. If he is sitting down you might also want to make it clear he is sitting down with shading changes.
The head, because it does not appear to be 2d, looks odd on the body, and the eyes, because they do look 2d, look even odder.

this shows no artistry to think of

I cant imagine you making a game with anything like this

please practice, read some tutorials on basic pixeling, before even trying to do something like this

I reccomend trying to make simple shapes and objects first, and shade them properly

Work your way up before doing a showcase; you will get alot of crap from experienced pixel pushers.

I think Brien covered everything that I somehow forgot. (Lol, I'm so dumb for not remembering to suggest a tutorial).

My drawings are good but my sprites suck...
That doesn't really have much do to with this thread. I mean, you posted it to get C+C on your sprites, didn't you?

Incorrect statement. Your scratches aren't amazing, but that's because you started out with a scratch. I recommend (Although it pains me to do this) that you start out with fusions. Basic fusions, but you need to push yourself to get better. Once you can achieve Heavy Edits and you understand shading and anatomy, I recommend scratches. But you can't just start out an amazing spriter. Also, if you're drawings are so good, I recommend you use similar styles. Check the anatomy of your drawings, and the shading (If you have it).

It will take a while, a lot of practice, and some complete failures for you to be good. I suggest you start out with fixing the things Mobile Tsk and I pointed out to you.

Find and use as many tutorials as possible. Just because eventually you find a good one that helps you and doesn't state the obvious. Study the better spriters, ask questions (Don't demand answers though, spriters can be a lazy & touchy bunch).

the beach is very nicely done, and very pretty.

everything else... well everyone seemed to cover it...
there are good tutorials in the pixel art rules thread, and of i know in the sethcullen thread.

like nova said, scratches are hardest. so give the fella credit for making that type of sprite in his first attempt. (i remember mine werent that good when i started...)

the "accepted" order of spriting dificulty is:

    recolors
    revamps
    devamps
    copy/paste fusions
    edit fusions
    edits with recoloration and reshading
    scratches

as foxhound would say... "it takes no skill whatsoever to make a recolor" or something like that...
once you do figure out how to properly recolor and shade, then do fusions. Just PLEASE! dont bring to the board a bunch of bad copy/pastes... they hurt the eyes as bad as any misrecolor would.

    I hope to see more!

    Keep Spriting!

    I tried doing a Pikachu's beach revamp.
It looks more like just a recolor of a screenshot. It's still pretty two-dimensional, and some more shading would help.

    recolors
    revamps
    devamps
    copy/paste fusions
    edit fusions
    edits with recoloration and reshading
    scratches
    Yeah, nice list. ;[

Actually, I had to make a whole black outline for the tree and shading for the tree.
That would be a bad thing. It's better to have no outline at all than to have an entirely black outline.
