I am mostly talking overall, and I don't think Texas gets that much snow to begin with.

Groundhogs Day is when us Americans go outside on a certain day and we see if a Groundhog can see its shadow when it comes out of its hole...if it does then 6 more weeks of winter...or something like that.

Yeah, I don't really get why they have to wait a certain day and time to know how long til winter ends..to think by now they'd have been as advanced as a groundhog..

Every February 2, some people bring out a groundhog. If they can see its shadow, then there will be 6 more weeks of winter; it they can't see its shadow, then spring is about to come.

They come up from there little homes.

To look for food, and such.

The groundhog is born and bred in captivity. We don't seize wild groundhogs, as that'd be...unsafe.
