All you need is the basics..
Image extracting, effects and the ability to produce a background using brushes or color effects..

Then you're on your way to theme making..
When all else fails.

A member tried to teach me the basics today and how to add new brushes and all, but, I can never stop being bad at it and everything .__. And I want to make a banner for my friend who has his birthday tomorrow >.<

Well, it takes time, get familiar with the different tools, and use the internet as a resource wherever needed..

I'm not one for dishonesty, but ask someone else to do it, and pass it over as yours..

For a quick and easy banner, just get a picture, play around with the opacity, adjust brightness/contrast, add some text to it, and voila! New banner.
