Horrible isn't it? Though having 3 is safe, you get the worse weapons, whereas if you have 2 you'll be in a lower position and thus get better items. Having 1 would obviously get the best items, but it isn't worth the risk.

Heya all ^^

Balloon battles? They're my favorite part of the game ^^ I will share few strategys and tips to make you master of this part:

Shieldmush

Some strategy I thought of, I tried it 10 times and it works! This strategy involves you get a red/green shield (green only if you can aim well), hang it behind your car, and get single or triple mushroom. Get close to your enemy, then fire the red shield at him to sting him with it. Directly after you fired and hit the enemy with the shield use your mushroom. You'll steal his second (and last balloon) before he can create another one due to the effect of the shield. To make it clear, while red shield "paralyzes" the enemy for 1 second, use your mushroom to steal his last or second balloon in the second. During the moment and after the enemy is hit with your red shield he/she can't move so also can't make another balloon. Works if your enemy has 2 balloons, but with 3 it's also possible. When your enemy has 3 balloons, follow him/her to the edge of a battle map with a bottomless depth besides it (eg top DS map) and fire the shield there, use mushroom after it. If you did good, your enemy will lose 2 balloons AND fall into the depth, taking his/her 3rd and last balloon. Quite cool huh?

Use the area in your advantage!

I can't repeat this enough. Use the area you battle in in your advantage! You're far more vulnerable in an open field map (Pipe Plaza) then in a map with walls and other things to hide behind (Twilight House).

Vulnerable maps:

- Pipe Plaza
- Tart Top
- Palm Shore
- Nintendo DS

Advantagous maps:

- Block Fort
- Twilight House

Twilight House is with no doubt best map to use in your advantage. It has plenty of walls you can drive behind to stop shields, and there are several edges with bottomless depth you can use with ShieldMush. There are lots of things you can do here. You can hind behind walls for shields, drop bananas behind wall corners so they slip and fall into depth, zigzag around to evade stars AND it's the best map to practise with ShieldMush.

Hope you all can use this...maybe I overdid it a bit though ^^"

Just a small part of my MKDS bible xD

And please check it out, I want to know if it's useful to you guys or not ^^

Why is no-one posting here T_T

Haven't played MKDS in a while though, might try it again soon..some Wi-Fi matches will be fun I think. Btw have you guys seen people with 3 stars behind or in front of their name?

Why is no-one posting here T_T

XDness~ I would but I have no idea what you are all talking about... I want the game! XD

True, I have a 2 star name but still plenty of people can own me I bet :P

About the stars, this is what IGN says:
Unlock Starry Names
To affix stars to your name in a wi-fi battle, just race all the grand prix races (including mirror tracks) and earn at least one star in the ranking. The number of stars earned during your grand prix career will be reflected in your wi-fi standing.

Meh, just complete all kind of races with 2 stars and high chance you'll get it to me :P I tried to install my Wi-Fi connector again but I lost the installation disk...T_T Anyone knows where the installation files for the Wi-Fi connector are on the internet?

This club dying or something 0_o

Anys I did another few time trials yesterday..those 'staff ghosts' are easy to beat if you know how to race at the concerning course I noticed ;)

Hard choice... I can't choose a favourite, but two likely candidates are:

Tick-Tock Clock
Airship Fortress

I hae several favorite courses, but the 'bests' for me would be Bowser Castle 2, Wario Stadium, Peach Garden and Airship fortress
