maybe it's because Daboys a try-hard. Saying do this and do that. Guess what i got news for him. I don't need his help. I prefer someone who is willing to help and not try to make it their own hack. And i saw one of his levels for his hack. they look good, but are way too complicated to pass. I'm just trying to balance the difficulty of the original and sync it with the hack. Thats what "I" do.
 
exactly. its YOUR hack, you can do anything with it. as long as you know what you can do, you can make good levels. and with the space you have, you can make them longer. there is just no point in making them seem impossible as that reflects gameplay. as long as the level is quite balanced, you can make a very good hack.
 
Well... I have made up my mind. I just needed to clear a few things out of my mind. so it has been decided, The Hack will continue!
 
great, the hack goes on. i am quite happy about this, as i wanna play possibly the finished result when it is finally fully released. so do you want me to edit the title screen?

You could just stick the "X" Behind Mario World.
I will quickly make a "Sketch" In paint. and you can see what i mean.

very hard to make an X out of the big letters, but used smaller letters to make the x.

unable to get the whole title screen on 1 line, so did it like this:

Mario
World X

really, seeing as i cant do a good enough X, this is what i could do.

EDIT: looks better zoomed out.
 
Nice. That is actually pretty good. Could you make it into a patch so i can just patch it to a ROM so I can Continue from that?
 
Thanks for that. Now I just gotta extract and insert the edited levels into a new Clean ROM, edit the unedited levels, add a few more patches to it and then it should be done.
Just wondering... how did u edit the title screen? You made it look so easy.
 
just go into Overworld Editing in lunar magic, then file, title screen, then load, then click yes. thats about it.

ohno i forgot how to do custom events in steps!
 
Thanks! Maybe I could Fix that X in the image for you! Just 1 more thing... What version of Lunar Magic did you use? I got 1.51 and i cant seem to find it.

I've played Super Mario Ever since I wuz 4, and I beat the game when I wuz that age too. The game wuz fun back then, but this one is beautiful! Good job man.
 
This looks like it's a promising hack. I look forward to playing it when more is completed.

Update: I got good news!

The good news is that the Title Screen gets a makeover! The information you will find on it is the title, maker and the Beta Number.

Also the Palettes get a new makeover! I just planned to darken the colors, and change a few things around, but so far that is coming good.

And a new music patch has been added to the ROM!

All of the above is no joke, this is serious now.

@MarineAngemon: I know what to do with the credits now. but that won't need to be done until a later stage.

so you have remade the whole title screen? what does it look like now?
what music patch has been added to the game, and what tool did you use?
 
I just found a Patch filled with Super Mario All stars tracks and applied it to the rom. I tried adding custom music but I didn't understand how the god-damn program worked. I got some screen shots on he first post.
