"She is fine! She just pushed herself too hard!" Manabe defended himself as he glanced me over. "She just needs to take it easy the next few weeks, and she'll be fine." He jolted his eyes back to the two parents as I gave him an intimidating glare.

That Manabe, he hadn't told me that I'd be like that, AND he invited Riku's family!
"I'm fine mom..." I muttered before coughing again, blood appearing on the sheets. I would've run away if I could, but with this cough, and the fact that my body had grown weak since I collapsed, I wouldn't be able to...

"Nee-chan!" A female voice called as a young girl ran into the room. She had straight, long brown hair, and was wearing an orange shirt that didn't cover the shoulders, wit a pair of blue jeans and brown sandals. This girl could only be Risa-chan... 'My' sister. She ran over to the side of my bed and hugged me... as much as you could hug a person in a bed. "I've missed you so much!" I blushed slightly, but not as much as I thought I would...

OOC: The other girl in my first post is Risa, XD

My doctor grabbed my hand and made me follow him. We walked down a long set of stairs before we came to another floor. Once there he led me into a room where another plane crash survivor was in. He motioned for another doctor to come. He eyed my arm for a few moments, making me feel uncomfortable before he told me to go meet the others that had survived. I felt somewhat uneasy to see one girl who's body looked like it hadn't a scratch on it, but I was about to learn how wrong I was.

OOC: So...we can venture off alittle, right?

The girl named Riku seemed suddenly fine the first minute, and then, just had a bloody coughing fit?! As if my day wasn't already crazy...another man who looked like a scientist dragged her away, a trail of blood following. This sent my fur prickling. The door slammed open AGAIN and a small group seemingly followed the trail of blood, enraged. I myself was curious and frightened for the poor girl, so I followed behind.
Inside the room, Riku was lying on a bed, surrounded by the group. Maybe they're her family... I thought to myself. They began to yell (to my poor sensitive cat ears T_T) so I retreated to the halfway opened window.

"What is that?! Is that a CAT?!" The woman began to approach the window and me. I knew it would be wrong to talk to her...

"Meow?"

"Get out of here you black cat! You'll only give bad luck!" With that and a powerful push, I was thrown out of the window (OOC: this better be on the first floor...) and into a group of bushes.

"Wtf, wench...." I moaned as I shook myself free of dirt. I looked around. No more open windows and all doors were way to high for me to open. I guess I was outside for now....

One of the doctors looked over my arm, he flexed it around a bit to make sure it was able to move easy enough.

"How long am I going to need this arm?" I asked as I touched the cold metal, it felt dead, not something I liked at all. "Why couldn't you have just used something synthetic..." Before I could finish my question a small black cat that had been in the room was knocked out the window.

One of the doctors asked if I could retrieve the cat, he told me how to get down to where it fell. "But...we're on the third floor, are you sure that thing's still alive? Even if it is...it probably broke something, why not let it die?" I asked. The doctor just waved me off and I went to find a stair way down.

I was walking down another flight of stairs as I thought to myself what this new arm would be like...and why was my room the only one that had no windows?

"Meh...not like it matters, this place seems almost dead..." I muttered as I got outside. It was cold, fall was starting and the trees were all starting to die for the year.

I finally found a bush with a black cat after a bit of searching around.

Akee walked through the halls, staring at the few passerby for a few seconds each before continuing on. To someone who didn't know, she would seem like a lost puppy. Looking out a window as she passed, seh saw a little black puff of fur on the ground. Wait... why was she smiling?
Because it's a cat, and you like cats.
Yes, Akee remembered vaguely. The little, white furry creature she had gotten for her birthday, so many moons past.... she remembered that she had liked it, this little cat. Strugglign with the window latch, she managed to get it open, and peered out with quiet eyes at the small animal.

The father looked away, and tried to usher the mother away from Manabe, as she was still giving him a glare. "Come on now, let's get you home." He said calmly, moving back to the bed, and picking up the person he thought to be his lost daughter in his arms. "Now isn't the place to catch up on lost time." He said, and turned for the door, walking out, and the mother followed, after giving one last sharp glare at Manabe...

OOC: My apologies, but I have to deal with time constraints, so a short post only

"Ashley?"

Ugh. Who's calling me that?

"Ashley?"

Stop it, will you?

"Ashley?"

Okay, that was it!

Forcefully, Ally willed her eyes to open. Whoever kept calling her by that name would really get a handful. No one ever calls her that, ever. "What do you want?" She mumbled groggily as she rubbed her eyes. All she could see was pitch darkness. She rubbed it again, to no avail.

"Ah, don't worry. I'll turn off the lights." A female voice stated softly. Ally heard a click sound, and then, magically, she could see again.

She glanced at the woman with curiosity and she simply answered her gesture with a nod. "Don't you remember?" She asked, staring at her as if she was a ghost or something. "Roughly a year ago, you were aboard a plane. It was hijacked and only a few of you survived."

Ally blinked. "Huh?"

"We found you barely alive. Half of your body was dysfunctional, leaving you in a critical condition. Every little bone you had was an inch close to shattering. And you were blinded as well. It was really amazing that you had survived."

She tilted my head questioningly. "Are you sure I'm alive?" It was a silly question, but it seemed impossible for her to live if that was really the case.

"Of course, Ashley." Gently, the older woman picked her left arm and led her in front of a mirror. "See?"

She glanced at herself in the mirror and jumped slightly. Nothing much was different, but her eyes. It was a creepy, vivid red. It was so cool, but she'd bet everyone would be afraid. "Why are my eyes red?"

"No matter what we did, your eyes never recovered. We had no choice but to replace it." She halted abruptly, seeing Ally scratch her right arm. It started bleeding and she quickly rushed to get a bandage. As the woman wrapped it around Ally's arm, she continued on her explanation. "See, half your body has very brittle bones. The other doctors and I had to cover it up with metal alloy. The other half, meanwhile, has very frail skin. You can't scratch it, poke it, or do anything to it without causing an injury. I advise you be very careful."

Ally nodded and glance at the first half of her body then the other. "That basically means that I'm impenetrable-ish on the left and veery vulnerable on the right. I can remember that."

The doctor smiled softly and then handed her a piece of paper. "If you want to visit the others who survived, they're names are written here. Perhaps you'll recognize a few of them."

With a muffled "'kay", Ally headed out the room and started roaming around the hallways. She looked at the names on the list and read the first name out loud. "Akee?"

As she was walking, she noticed a teen, seemingly half a year older than her, staring out a window. "Hiya~!" She greeted. "By any chance do you think you anyone named Akee?"

After I had shaken myself off, I decided to just pace for a bit. As I moved my right leg, a sharp pain began to surge through my body. It was then I knew I had broken a bone. I had broken many bones before, due to athletics, but this body never went through the training I went through, so it was weak and pain hurted like hell.

I can't die like this... I said to myself. I had never really planned on my death by being eaten by a bunch of wild squirrels...wait, do squirrels eat cats? I sighed. EVERYTHING seemed possible now...

It was then when I saw the blinding light. Was it God? I never really believed in God...was it Satan then? The light seemed to get closer and closer. I gave an involuntary mew and the light light began to fade alittle to reveal the gleam of metal. Actually, a metal arm. I guessed he was probably in the crash too... The guy picked me up from the ground, not too carefully, but still...it was better than getting eaten by squirrels.

"Hey, were you on that crash too? Yeah...I'm a freakin cat now...I'd rather have my old body..." This guy seemed about my age...why not talk? "Oh and please watch my right leg it's broken..." I added. This guy had obviously not carried a cat before.

((OOC: Testin' out a new RP style, so if it seems different, that's why. ^^))

Akee did not respond immediately. Her eyes were still fixed on the little cat, as if in a trance. Even when she looked u to see the approaching girl, she stared with blank, empty eyes. Akee. The girl had spoken. What was an Akee?
Akee is your name, of course.
Yes, yes, she knew now. Akee was the name she was given. By whom...?
The voice that was her company, had been her company, all that long year. And even though, when she came back to reality with a vague "Yes?", she knew not of many things, she had learned one fact.
Akee. That's who she was.

I picked up the cat, I could tell the thing's leg was broken. I wasn't too careful with it, never cared much for animals. The thing mewed a bit then it spoke to me. I freaked out and almost dropped the thing before grabbing it by the tail.

"Ehh...sorry about that, never met a talking cat before..." I said somewhat shocked.

The cat hissed at me and I took it back up into my arms as I made my way back into the hospital. We came back to the room where there were a lot of people waiting for us.

"It'll be okay nee-chan, we're going home now." Risa comforted me as 'Dad' picked me and carried me out of the room. I would've stopped him, but my vision became blurrier and blurrier before I fell unconcious. **** that Manabe, what kind of medicine had he given me?

On the way out, Risa came across a boy with a metal arm, and a cat. She had remembered seeing the boy's face in the list of those who survived the plane crash, and immediately asked him. "Do you need a place to stay? You could stay in our garage or something, you're cat too!" When she said this she gave her parents a 'if you don't allow this I'll make your life a living hell' look.

"Actually...yeah, I do need a place to stay. I haven't been able to find out where any of my family is." I said as I stopped to talk to them for a bit.

"...and I'm sure my cat would love to stay her too." I said as I petted the thing for a bit. I went back to my room and picked up a few of my things and I was out of there. Finally I could start living a normal life again...or as normal as it can get in my current state.

The parents immidiately flinched under that glare, even the mother, whom risu had inherited it form. "Of course it's okay, after all, it's just being a good samaritan." They said, sweatdrops appearing on the back of their heads. I on the other hand was already on my way to the old neighborhood where my parents still lived. I needed to see how the situation was back there...

Ally blinked, confused. The girl seemed rather spacey, but she knew better than to judge quickly. She would hate it if everyone would cower from her because of her eyes. When the girl had answered her with a ?yes? she grinned brightly. "Yay~! Now I know I'm not alone!"

Ally then clasped her hands together as a thought struck in her mind. "Oh, oh, if you're lost, do you wanna come with me? See, I'm looking for these other people that was in a plane with me. That's why I was looking for you." She always did have a tendency of being too talktative.

We left the hospital shortly after, the ride back was somber, no one was really happy. The car went slow, they didn't feel any need to hurry. About a half hour into it I think we passed by the crash site. It was under quarantine, lots of police tape and guards surrounded the area. I thought it look rather odd, but I paid it no mind.

"Ahh...so how far is it until we get there?" I asked the girl as she looked out the window (Risa).

She didn't really give me a reply, just ignored me for a bit and then the car pulled up into a small block of homes. It looked to be on the outskirts of the city so there weren't that many people around. It was nice and quiet, not hectic like the city I had lived in a while ago.

"Oh well...can't be worse than the last place I use to live in..." I said as I began to unpack.

Akee looked up blankly at this girl. Finally, she was able to mutter two words, which was quite a lot for her.
"Plane...crash...?"
She remembered fire. There was a loud bang, then fire. No, wait, there were people too. Lot's of people. Screaming, crying people....

Ally noddded. "Mm-hmm. I don't remember it, but this doctor told me about it. I think she mentioned something about only a few people surviving, and I kinda forgot what she else said." She grinned apologetically.

"Do you remember anything about it? I tried thinking about it, but nothing comes into my mind. Everything before I woke up is a blank to me." She shut her eyes and strained to recall what had happened the past year.

Nope, nothing.

Well, it was nice of the girl to invite the guy and me into thier lovely abode. Kinda gave me a warm feeling, a longing for the warmth that I already missed from my family. The car ride to the girl's house was unusually quiet...I would have loved to break the silence, but me talking would have made the driver loose control and fall off a bridge. The least thing I wanted was anymore crashes. So I kept silent. We finally got there and entered the garage. My leg was still hurting, but I had grown used to ignoring pain. I was placed on a small pillow in the garage while the other guy started unpacking. He mumbled something and I twitched my tail. Silence and mumbling were horrible things.

"Um, soooo....what's your name? I'd rather not call you Mr.Metal. Anyway, my name is Sora...pretty nice of that family to let us stay here, don't you think?"

I dropped my bags on the floor and started unpacking a few of my things. I didn't really have that much left from the crash, a shirt or two, the rest of my things were all burnt in the crash. I still can't remember where my family is or why I was even on that crash, but I'll deal with it more when the time comes.

"My name? It's Mihara...I don't even wanna know how a cat can talk..." I said in a short sarcastic tone.

After that I took some things out from my suitcase, the doctors had given me a lot of sheets and a lot of new clothes actually. So I guess I wouldn't have to worry about finding anything else to wear for a while.

"I'm not sure how long we'll be able to stay here, but I guess we'll just have to make the most of it until I can leave. Not sure what you're going to be doing after that though." I said while setting up a makeshift bed from my blankets.

"I've no intention of taking you with me really, you're only here out of fluke. I wouldn't have brought you if the doctors hadn't asked me to come pick you up."

"...School?" I repeated after Risa had brought me to my room, and I had been forced to lay in the bed, as well as forced into a pair of pink pajamas. It also had taken me a moment to realize that the door said Riku and Risa's room. Well, they were twins.... And apparently, I was being forced to go to school the next day, as Riku... Great.

OOC: Pic is her in the PJs, remember, short hair, not long. o.x
