6th Gen Mauville Food Court

    I am currently playing the demo and I noticed the newscaster woman on the second screen was talking about 'Mauville food court is open everyday for battles'

    I may have read that wrong but I know she said something along the lines of 'Mauville Food Court open everyday'

    Was this even in the original RSE? Is this a new feature? Has anyone else noticed this?
     
    I think it has to do with GF's expansion of Mauville. In the original RSE games, Mauville was meant to be the big crossroads, but it didn't work well. Now with the 3D engine, they can expand.

    I suspect, if a true thing in game, that this is like the Chateau thing in XY where you go for ranks.

    Could also be like that dumb as heck (my opinion) Village Bridge (BW Unova) daily task with the 'berry sandwich'.
     
    Along with what was mentioned, it's also easy to presume the food court is what replaced the Game Corner. The Game Corner has been a no-show in every new game after HG/SS due to anti-gambling laws in place in Europe along with making the games more kid-friendly.

    But I think it'll sorta be Hoenn's counterpart to the Battle Chateau in Kalos.
     
    If you look when you soar on Mega Latios, Mauville is now an inside city. Watson wanted to make this city like it is now. The food courtis said to be like the finger place in D, P, Pt, by sunnyshore. You can fight people daily.
