Max REALLY sucks.

Max is the whole reason to justify the creation of the "Brock sucks" thread, as his Pokenav took away from Brock's geography skills that the group relied on until the Pokenav came along.

He's about as useful as Dawn's Pokemon are when they don the pom poms. Seriously, Max was like...a human version of Ambipom. :#
 
Yes, I wonder what was Max's purpose. But that doesn't mean I don't like Max, but I' still wondering why did they put Max there? I like Ludicolo better than him, and yeah, that's saying Ludicolo.
 
@kabigon: if you start tend to start a discussion at least explain why you think so. Because without them the starting post of this and the Brock thread has a high spamminess level. Note that arguments like "Max sucks, because he sucks" or anything from that caliber doesn't count.

As for the topic "Max really sucks". No I don't hate him, but I he doesn't rank high on my favourite character list either. For the most time he didn't contributed much during Hoenn asside from a few episodes (the episode "Do I Hear a Ralts?" for example, comes to mind. Max scored some points during this episode in my book). Like Brock he's mosty part of the background and makes some remarks during Pokémon battles.
I didn't really minded that the writers got rid of him after Hoenn.
