Being a fan of absurdist fiction myself, I see nothing wrong with enjoying something that isn't earth-shattering in its complexity, seriousness, intelligence, etc; it accomplishes nothing for one to speak against humor simply because it is not of a sophisticated nature; as long as something is not crass, a joke is a joke and it should not be a matter of pride that keeps one from laughing.
Boredom is not a sin, nor should one speak against another for experiencing it. That goes into the realm of the unacceptable, as one cannot control what options they have for activity and entertainment at any given moment in the day.
