May '09 Pixel Art Contest

This month's theme is.. Spring!

Rules & Contest Information:

• Your entry must be at least slightly relevant to the theme.
• Obviously, follow of the Forum-wide PC Rules, as well as the Pixel Art Rules.
• Your entry must be entirely your own. This means NO recolors, fusions, or incorporating sprites not made by you into a larger piece of pixel art.
• You may submit one entry. If you submit more than one, then only the last one will be judged.
• Your entry may be a new piece of pixel art you created for this contest, or any of your older works that may be relevant.
• Entries must be submitted before June 1st.
• You may edit your entry as much as you want prior to June 1st, just try not to go overboard and edit it every single day.
• All entries should be either uploaded to an image hosting site and posted, or attached to your post in this thread.
• If your entry is disqualified for being irrelevant to the theme, you may enter again.
• If your entry is disqualified for sprite theft, you may NOT enter again, and you will be reported.

I wonder what everyone's take on this theme will be. You could go for the obvious, and do something relating to the season, or do something with springs... so many possibilities.

Anyways, have fun, and be sure to enter before the end of the month~

Ok, here's my entry. Lots better than last time.

Btw, the Ratatta has springs on his feet. And they're on a very small hill

I was sort of an over-achiever and did all the seasons...

Disqualified. That isn't spriting, it's a drawing made in Paint. There's no shading, and the outlines are rough and clearly haven't been edited on pixel-by-pixel level. You may still re-enter, if your new entry is actually pixel art.

Sticking to my traditional minimalistic style of Pixel art. It's a samurai making another transition through his journey, like the seasons. The mountains represent winter (the snow is melting) The woodland is the early stages of spring and the meadow is spring.
