I've watched her train, and her contests, she says she's doing "combonations", even though she's doing one move 0.o she has no talent in the appeal. Though, she has come up with some nifty battle strategies, whereas that's where may lacks

may though, has a very good appeal patential, her combos amaze me, and the way she uses her knowledge of her pokemons likes and dislikes on the spot to make a great appeal is great! She lacks in battling, she tries to show off her pokemons appeal a bit too much in most of her battles, and when she tried to fix it, she ended up over powering it a bit and losing points, she needs to find a healthy median between the two, like Dawn already has.

if they were to use fusion ear rings from DBZ, they'd be a great kick ass Co ordinator!

Plus as the series goes, she wont be a n00b anymore, and yes i do admit she is a lot smarter then she appears.

Than we have to request cartoon makers to make her ash's house wife
 
If Dawn and Ash decide to marry Dawn WON'T be a housewife, she'll be doing what she loves--traveling around Kanto (or Sinnoh or wherever they decide to live) being a roving Coordinator. Dawn'll win maybe two Ribbon Cups and maybe pair up with her "husband" and win one as a couple. But, hey this is all in my imagination....

I may not be bi, but Dawn is cuter indeed. Even though May uses two pokemon Ireally like. it has to be Dawn, she's more animated, funnier and more of spirit!!
 
My vote goes to May. She was the first female protagonist from the games to travel with Ash, and she introduced Contests to the show, which gave us something else to watch besides Gym Battles. Plus, her rivals rocked (and she had a canon shipping with one of those rivals, too ;)) and she had awesome character development. <3

Dawn just doesn't interest me at all. Her whole storyline is just plain boring, imo. I think it'd be better if she wasn't a coordinator, cuz all she has going for her is being more girly than Misty or May, and her pokemon and their awesome personalities. Even her rivals are pretty much boring. :/ Yeah - I don't hate her or anything, but she could definitely be more interesting.
 
When it comes to estetics, I think Dawn would come first, May's hair was horrible, I wondered why it was short in back and long in the front, even without the bandana... Dawn's hair is better, and girls with skirts make me laugh. When it comes to attitude, I attached myself to May more than anything. Like it was previously said, I would have preferred seeing the girl from Pokemon Leaf Green. I like her appearance better than the two otehrs. And I never really liked Misty, I was so happy to see her replaced by May.
 
Dawn. May was rather irritating at the start. I don't think Dawn and May are exactly like each other, otherwise I would like them both exactly the same. There is some difference, I'm just not sure. Dawn is more confident in herself and is much more "get up and go" or whatever the saying is. I like May, I just like Dawn more.

I don't understand how May is like Misty though...Misty (in Kanto, before her personality died) was rather tempermental, wouldn't be afraid to argue her point, a bit of a tom-boy and loves water Pokemon. May at the start didn't like Pokemon at all but came to like them. She just kind of liked cute Pokemon, liked shopping and was more girly and could be rather whiney at times. She had character development and became a confident co-ordinator. So I don't know what kind of character development Dawn is going to have.
 
I personally like Hikari a lot more than May.
DP is my favorite era (along with Johto). AG is my least favorite era. And part of what made DP nice was Hikari.

About Hikari's girlyiness, it's girly-ness done right. And I love her skirt, it looks like something from out of Mario (the pleats remind me of flower petals)! And Hikari has very pretty hair.

I'm content now with Hikari and with the show right now. Better animators would be nice though... along with some more Shinji and no Gary.

btw - the only thing I hate about Hikari is IkariShipping. If any Pokemon character goes with Shinji it's Ash. Besides IMO it gets the cutest hints in the show now (Shirona episode).

I still love Misty and she still holds a place in my heart but I know had Hikari been the first girl and Misty the newest, I would like Hikari better.
