3rd Gen Maybe there was the possibility?

    I was looking through the game's sprites on unLZ-gba and I noticed that right next to Charizard and Venusaur (the intro sprites) there was a Pikachu. As far as I know, this Pikachu was never used... Do you think theare was a possibility they wearae going to make a sequal to fireread and Leafgreen aftera thea favorite rodent known as Pikachu? I think it was fully put into consideration before theay saw how waell it sold. Also, the graphics artist may have wanted to make it so that his sprites would look alikea, just incase his spriting artistry had gottean bettear since he had last sprited in that game. What do you guys think?
     
    Maybe they were going to make another Yellow! =O

    It wouldn't be a bad idea, Yellow was pretty fun, getting all the starters...
    Or maybe the animator thought they wanted Pikachu in the intro and they scrapped it...
     
    It would be nice if they made the 3rd version for firered & leafgreen. They should make it and put it on the DS and have new stuff in the game. =D
     
    well, having a pikachu follow you around is complicated on GBA i suppose, and the DS had probably been made by then, (prototypes at least) so they pobably got the development team etc. working on D/P, and there was Wii as well.
     
    I think nintendo can manage to make a yellow remake. But they should make the orange islands available
     
    I would MUCH rather have a GSC remake than a Yellow. My youngest son restarted a Silver version we have this weekend. Man I miss that game!

    This has made me anxious now XD

    I doubt they are going to make a Yellow Version for DS now, because a) Like Gold and Silver (Even though I think there is a higher chance of those being remade =D) there would be no point =(
    But Kanto on the DS woulbe be breath taking =D
     
    I don't think they'll make a remake of Yellow.
    If they did that would be awesome.
    I could just imagine Kanto on DS with dozen of new features and areas to explore!
     
    Well i suppose with the DS being out and everything, it would be nice for them to bring the kanto region back, with more islands, more pokemon, longer storyline etc.

    but i dont think there would be pokemon following you throughout the game, its too much effort for some crap pokemon that will probably be left in the box, but we'll see, nintendo, surprise me.
     
    It's highly unlikely Nintendo would bother doing Kanto again since this would be the third time out of 4 Generations and would be a little pointless when doing the Johto games would yield better response.

    After all if no G/S/C remake is happening then 30% of NPC text in D/P just became useless, I mean hell there are more Johto references than there were in the actual G/S/C games haha.
     
    I think some people here are forgetting that a GSC remake would include Kanto anyway.
