    Actually, Wobbuffet's Japanese name is closer to it's original pun-"Why bother?" This is what upsets Jessie so much. Just how Wynaut's is "Why not?"
     
    I personally would have named Wobbuffet "Yesser" to make the puns fit, but it isn't up to me.
