Suggestion: Member report button

To report signatures: report any message from that user and add a line explaining the reason (ie: "signature too large").

To report spambots, well, you can either report a message, a visitor message, a PM... you can report anything, as long as you explain what is going on.

Plus, touching the report system to add more subsections... I don't recommend it, honestly XD

Hm... I sort of think that that wouldn't go so well. Would it report to all Moderators? How would you control it? Plus, if you just click report, then you don't really have a reason, nor do you have as much of a chance to get a quick reply. The button could take you into a little report form or something, but that's a lot like PMing, except more time-consuming. I think it's best to stay with PMs.

When you click to report anything (i.e. posts, VMs, PMs, etc.), it directs you to a box so you can explain your reasoning for reporting it. Once you send that report, the staff will notice under their notifications that an active report(s) is open. If it's a VM or PM report, a higher staff will handle it as soon as they can. It's much better than PM'ing one specific higher staff member, because then we can all be notified of your report and one of us will obviously handle it.

Also, I'd just like to add, if you're reporting a PM (and I think this applies for VMs too, I can't remember, but specifically for PMs) do not delete the message. If you delete the message before we handle the report, then we won't know what was reported. For example, the contents of the PM that you reported, we won't be able to see it if you delete it right after.

It is a nice idea, in theory. But generally infractions and such are given due to specific posts, not member profiles, plus all the reasons already mentioned. I do wonder what the protocol is for reporting something in an "About Me" or something though...
