    This weekend we all here is the US celebrate the unofficial beginning of summer but there is a much more important reason for the holiday. Memorial Day. May 28, 2012. The day we honor those that have given the ultimate sacrifice defending their country.

    With this in mind, take a few minutes to honor those in YOUR country that have died in service protecting your borders.

    May all the currently fighting men and women along with the veterans of old live a long life and come home. You all truly deserve it, and without you, I don't know where I would be.

    I don't have an inspirational quote by a war hero or anything I really think is deep, but...

    This is what I truly have to say. No making up bullcrap emotions, just what I truly think ^^
     
    God bless our troops and veterans, keep them safe on there hardships to come.
     
    Dad, I will always remember you for what you did for us. You are an amazing programmer, an amazing husband, and an amazing father, and you always will be. I feel so blessed to have had a dad who served our country as well as you. You will never be forgotten, and I'll be sure of it. If anyone attempts to, I'll kick em' for ya. :) I love you Dad.

    And my personal thanks to all those who have given so much for our lives. You will never know how much it means to me. God bless the selfless men and women who serve our country with so much heart and soul. You truly deserve to be remembered, not just today, but everyday.
     
    I've thought of enlisting in the military after I graduated high school last summer. I'm in college now, but I still have this urge to serve this great nation.

    No words can ever discribe the relentless hell our servicemen and women go through. Coming home alive is half the battle. Although there is nothing more I can say other than I'm grateful for the sacrifices they make. These men and women have my utmost respect, even if they don't want it.

    This is a pretty recent quote that I like.

    -I might end applying for OCS in the Marine Corps after I graduate college.
