Memorial Weekend Mini Vacation
Daily Video - "Frederick Douglass vs Thomas Jefferson" by ERB
On Sunday it was a total beach day. We ended up heading down to the Rhode Island coast and just spent the entire day there chilling and relaxing. It was a nice change of pace from the day before, as it had been a go-go-go kind of day for the both of us. To be able to just relax, sleep our cares away, and tan our butts off, it was a lovely day to say the least. For the last 6 months, we had both been working our arses off in both school and in work, and with the girlfriend getting ready to start a new job next week, we wanted to make sure that we could spend some R&R together before the hecticness started all over again.
Even though our mini vacation was short, it was very much needed. It was nice to just be able to spend quality time together and just enjoy the beginning of this summer. It was nice too because the area wasn't that busy where we went, considering also how it was a pretty touristy area that we visited. Anyways, what about you guys? What did you do over Memorial weekend? Do anything fun? What are your plans for the summer? Comment below as I'd love to hear and discuss with you what you have to say about this topic!

Memorial Weekend Mini Vacation
Date: 31 May 2016
Time: 3:05 AM ET
Mood: Ain't tired at all
Like one of my most recent entries, I have a reason why I haven't had any blog entries as of late. No, it's not because of another loss in the family. Actually, the reason is a positive one! Over the weekend, my girlfriend and I had decided to test out Air B&B - an app that allows you to reserve the houses of normal people - and go down to Rhode Island for Memorial weekend. If you've been following me on Twitter - which you can do by clicking this link here if you aren't - then you have a good idea as to where I've been as of late, but I feel inclined to talk about my trip nonetheless.

On Saturday we ended up going to an awesome United States Submarine museum, which displayed most of the US Navy's involvement with submarine technolgy. This included detail accounts of deployment missions, collections of wrecked vessels from the past, as well as the ability to actually go into a working submarine! That a very surreal experience; the submarine was large on the outside, but once you went down into it's belows you realized how small the arrangements actually were. I had to duck for the most part walking through the submarine, and considering I am only 5ft 10in, I can only imagine what it must have been like for a 6ft+ soldier to be down there.Time: 3:05 AM ET
