1st Gen Memories of Blue and Red

writing Beone (as my character name) i think it is when i was on holidays and later found out it was a code (like david)

when i got through all of ceurelian cave to get mewtwo, (i saved the masterball)
when i threw it, i had no room in my boxes.... :( couldnt catch it
enjoyed it immensely though

I remember when one of my friends had the hardest time trying to catch mewtwo in pokemon red. He asked me if I could help him and when I weakened him, I caught him on my 3rd ultra ball. My friend was just going "WTF" (he diden't say that) And he thanked me so much for catching mewtwo.

i was like 3 or 4 .some of my fav games.

Also, let's not forget the lulzy Blastoise that we all thought to be amazing.

[PokeCommunity.com] Memories of Blue and Red

1. How I started off not being able to read all but a few words at the age of seven, so I had to tug on my mom or dad's shirt and ask them what characters were saying just to advance through the game. So I struggled and slowly learned how to read just so I could read dialog, and by the end of Rock Tunnel, I was finally able to read. Crowning moment of AWESOME.

2. Getting 130 Pokemon. I never did get all of them, but 130 was enough for me to be proud of myself.

3. Getting through all the gyms just to think I had won the game, and then finding out about the Elite 4.

4. Beating the Elite 4. <3

Ahh the memories...

-Not realizing I could name myself whatever I wanted so I picked the default name Blue.
-Getting lost in Mt. Moon.
-getting stuck in Cerulean city. (I never noticed that hole in the wall)
-Having Erika beat all my strong pokemon and then having my lv. 20 Bellsprout beat 2 of her pokemon to win the fight.(it evolved after the battle by the way)
-trading my Vaporeon to my friend for a Koffing because I wanted one really badly.
-Accidentally KOing Zapdos and Moltres.
-crying for 2 days after my friend restarted my game.

I remember the day it came out my neighbor got it. I watched him start with a bulbasaur and it instantly became my favorite pokemon.
(Still is by the way)

My birthday was a few days after it came out and I remember begging and pleading to get it.

I remember being freaked out by Missingno. I had nightmares, I was that scared. But I still abused the hell out of that glitch just to get rare candies.

In fact a lot of stuff freaked me out, Pokemon Tower, Cinnabar Mansion, Power Plant, Seafoam Islands, Victory Road, Cerulean Cave...

I was an easy spook as a kid.

I remember fighting Misty with my Charmeleon and losing, constantly
I didn't really grasp the whole fire, water concept until my friend beat it for me by using an Oddish

I still own copies of Red and Blue, and I play them all the time.....Pokemon was a much simpler game back in those days.

Oh yay I love having a feeling of nostalgia every once in awhile.

-Having a level 68 Blastoise after beating Giovoni
-Always teaching Blastoise Fissure, Ice Beam, Mega Punch, and Hydro Pump
-Always buying the Magikarp and then putting it in my PC
-Getting lost in various places such as; Viridian Forest (No joke, I was only 5), Mt. Moon, Rock Tunnel, Silph Co., Pokemon Tower, Seafoam Islands, Pokemon Mansion, Victory Road, and Cerulean Cave only to spend a week to figure out the exits to them.
-Wondering why a Mewtwo was too afraid to move when fighting Ghost.
-Thinking a Great Ball had the ability to capture other trainers Pokemon.
-Beating the game in a day
-Being amazed at all the different Pokemon back then.

...I'll add more later
