    Yeah, I'm new to the site, so I wondering what all these apparently 'unmentionable' Pokemon are... and why are they unmentionable?

    unmentionables are like the very good at being hard to beat pokemon
    Frostweaver is the expert on them though. :P especially Unmentionable Sn / B

    Yeah, but what are the abbreviations, like Sn, B, etc? :-p That was really my main question...

    I did it once before today, I'll mention the unmentionables again :P

    From what I've learned, unmentionable-s is skarmory, unmentionable-b is blissey, and unmentionable-w is weezing...I think there are a couple others though o_O;;

    I really don't know why they're unmentionable though, I guess they're the bane of the existance of the technical poke-battler...but for the casual pokemon player like me, they just seem like regular pokemon I guess *shrug*

    i thought Sk was skarmory and Sn was Snorlax

    Er, why Skarmory? I love my Skarmory, admittedly was a bugger to try and catch... L16 it was, finally got it, 1 Ultraball and 10 Greatballs later (note it wasn't the Ultra Ball that caught it). And it is nice but does have it's weaknesses...

    I'm a huge Skarmory fan... so what gives?

    "unmentionable", in the term that Frostweaver uses it, means that the pokemon has the stats and movepool to be unbeatable. I'm no big expert on all that.

    The only unmwntionable pokemon I know of are Skarmory (for its speed and effective use of flying-type attacks I guess), Snorlax (for it's defense and effective use of Curse), Blissey (for its massive HP and recovery abilities otherwise)

    Skarmory isn't the quickest pokemon, and it does have weakness to Electric and Fire moves, so it's not exactly superior, yeah it has nice defence, but not so great on the offence...

    Snorlax, yes he's a damage sponge, but a good Fighting type can take care of him (especially when you use Focus Punch). As for the Curse tactic, well that's something I never thought of, and probably never gonna use anyway...

    Blissey, never bothered to train one up cos of it's sucky stats, but the recovery/high HP does give it an advantage in staying power..

    Goes to prove that all pokemon do have their uses, even if they are annoying...

    meh...same here, I never worry about what competitive battlers tell me. The only person I link up and battle with is my brother, and he thinks any attack that doesn't do damage is useless.

    I tend to keep to myself and train casual play pokemon (such as Crobat with Poison Fang, Fly, Confuse Ray, Double Team)

    Been considering working on a Gligar since I've just caught one on Colliseum... and my Sneasel is pretty nice too...

    well one annoying pokemon i think is useless is.... dun dun di dunnnnnn!
    ZUBAT

    Nah... Ludicolo is still beatable, and certainly not enough to be in the ranks of the other mega-OUs. (but certainly OU though). Being weak to poison and flying, it's still beatable. Plus it really doesn't resist anything but water and ground. Taunting Gyarados kills it nicely. You can even beat one with brute force... I used a Porygon2 to beat one when both of them are full health by continously using thunderbolt and occassional recovers, even if he got leech seed on me o.o; (lol then again I stole rain dish so I can healed as well)

    This is a property that the other unmentionables do not share. You can't beat a Unmentionable B or Sn even if you continously launch a special attack at it. Only medicham can really continously use a physical attack to take down the flying Unmentionable Sk. Unmentionable W is weaker in physical defense compare to its flying brother, but it got the power to burn you to reduce your attack in half to make up for the lower defense, making evne a Zangoose's STAB double edge do a 10% dmg only... (and using one against a Ludicolo is equal to 50%... see the difference in scariness?)

    Some people like Dive for extra stalling.
    me too, I like Dive, Dig, and Fly for their ability yo dodge an attack...albiet, if the opponent can use Protect/detect (and is actually smart) then you won't be able to hit anything

    This happened to me today with Crobat vs. Pelliper in my Sapphire Version

    The evil of Ludicolo: Rain dance, Leech seed, Giga Drain, and Surf. and holding leftovers. evil at it's best.

    I prefer:

    Ludicolo @ Leftovers {HP+150 PhDf+180 SpDf+180} [+PhDf -PhAt]
    - Seismic Toss
    - Leech Seed
    - Double Team
    - Rain Dance

    This kind of talk is the stuff that makes me too scared to restart my Ruby version and make a competitive team ._.;; Everything is a mysterious anagram...STAB, IV, EV, OU, it's like a different language o_O;;

    Eh, I'd have no one to battle anyway even if I did try my hardest...
