Anime/Manga MERCH THREAD (Not Just for New Merch!)

I need to do some reorganizing and figure out a way to make my small room space work, as well as buy a few shelves to replace the ones I left behind. Anyway here's some pics of what I have unpacked/recently picked up. There's some manga in my car, scattered in backpacks and bathroom as well but I'm too lazy to round it all up :3

That's quite the respectable collection you've got there. I'm pretty sure it's more neatly organized than mine is, too. And you've got some stuff in there I'm jealous of!

Thank you! You've posted some stuff that I am jealous of too :3. There's always more manga than there is money unfortunately lol. I've had a few items in my amazon cart for weeks now... the temptation is real.

So I"ve gone ahead and pre-ordered the Haruhi Ultimate Collector's Edition from Funimation. Looking forward to getting it and watching the stuff I haven't yet watched on it in all that BluRay glory when that arrives on September 13th.

You're telling me, man. My collection is north of 500 books yet I reasonably can't keep up with every series I want to read, haha.

Haven't read it yet :P
I read it during the week leading up to the last episode. Not sure yet.

It's too bad they didn't have it in it's regular format though.

Well, really, the omnibus format is usually used in two situations: reprinting an old series, or to hedge bets on a series they aren't sure is going to do that well in the USA. Orange falls into that latter category. Romance series don't usually sell as well here.

Yeah, makes sense.

I'm planning on buying a lot more manga soon.
I'm making a lot this summer and there's no way any of it is staying in my bank account.

It gets expensive, especially when it can be hard to find a good deal on certain releases. There's a bunch of older Tokyopop stuff I want but I doubt it will ever be at a price I am comfortable spending. I wish I could enjoy reading scans and save myself a bunch of money :( it just isn't the same as a physical manga.

That's a hell of a set of DVD/BDs to have on hand, even with more in storage.

You won't see any judgement here. I am curious as to which were gifts, though. I do own the US releases of 5 of those (Azumanga, Gin Tama, Omamori, Yotsuba!, and Railgun) and had plans on picking up US physical copies of at least 3 more (Cardcaptor Sakura, Sunshine Sketch, and Dororo specifically).

As far as I know, yes. I find a lot of rare plushies at my anime convention.

Unfortunately, I still haven't cracked it open to marathon its contents. :(

I'm a bit jealous of you convention's plush selection. Vendors who sell plushes at my convention tend to have a more recent slant to their merch. Older DVDs and figures galore, though.

Just be careful not to buy more than you can store, haha. I had that problem until recently.




I was coming here to post some stuff I got earlier this month, but I then found an album I hadn't posted here from stuff I got in late September, too.

Picolo figure, Sailor Venus figure, and an IdolM@ster petit Nendo because if I didn't buy it I would've wound up buying another $40+ Sailor Venus figure from Barnes & Noble. Also hardcover volumes 1 and 2 of JoJo Part 1.

Also ordered an R.O.D. Official Archive book off of Amazon last week.

And I found the first 3 volumes of the Del Rey release of Genshiken at a card shop I was at for a Pokemon TCG set prerelease.

Haha. I don't have anywhere to put them right now but I'm making a bookshelf in my woodshop club so I'll be able to own a lot more!

Not sure yet. My school has a 40 thousand dollar laser engraver machine that can engrave designs into any material so I might put something on the sides. XD
