so, ill write down the story real quick, anyone whos interested is free to join! :D

You are a young boy/girl, you lived all of your life inside, locked up inside your room.
This cowards adventure began, on the most horrible day of his life.


He went to sleep, as if it was a usual day...
The clock hit midnight, when suddenly, a dark person appears, you wake up, the moonlight touches your eyes when it gets dark again, the person is holding you hostage.

You panic, hitting something out of his hand, the item falls out of the window. "I know you're in there" Yelled a voice from outside. The boy/girl peeked out of the window.
The boy/girl is confused, yells, kicks and hits around him.
The dark person was fed up, and threw you out of the window.

A coward's scream echoed throughout the town.

You wake up, you now see the foreshadow of a person. Thesame person you caught a glimpse of while peeking out of the window.
It was a boy, with a red hat, and a pikachu on his shoulder.

He looked over at the boy/girl, and noticed he was unharmed. He left..
You look next to you, and see a bloody person, in shock, you faint yet again.


The next day, the boy found his hero, he saw the news. "Champion Red has finally found, and beat the thief that has stolen some of our secret technology. we are very gratefull. Over to you, Oak--"

The boy/girl wanted to become a trainer just like Red, he set out for pallet town, to get himself a pikachu. but then, he noticed a strange item in his pocket. could this be the secret technology he heard about in the news?

special features:

-Your pi(ka)chu* will be able to take on special forms, you can choose one in the beginning of the game, and beat the game with that form.
(forms are: speed, power, defence and forced evolution)
(The forms have different looks, its not only stat-wise. The forms are, even if i say so myself, pretty slick looking)

-custom sprites

-8 badges and e4 are sidequests.

-the main quest is an actual quest. With throughout storyline.

-some graphics will be hand drawn, within the colour limitations, like the title screen.

please tell me what you think, ill get the titlescreen up soon, oh, this will be a Fire Red hack.

I hope that you will like it, and maybe even join, cuz right now, this is just a one man project, and the one man can only sprite, haha xD

I like your storyline, specially the fact that you make the badges and stuff a sidequest.
I could apply for mapper, but I only make decent maps, no special ones.
Think I'll just stick to supporting your hack. (Get yourself some banners.)

i made a VERY rough title screen...

if anyone could touch this up? xD just the traditional pokemon titlescreen with the pikachu ears guy on it (Yes that will be the hero for pokémon chu)

The Sprite looks pretty good, but you'll need to work on the background. I'm not so good at title screens though. :/

Okay, Solspear, you know what, I'll try to make a few maps for you.
I can really recomment Niknaks for his worldmaps, for a start.
As for me, tell me how you want the starter town to look like?
Small village or quite big town, surrounded by forest/coast/lake/river?
