Misadventures at Hogwarts: Term 2

Suddenly, I snapped out of my daze. "Josh, come on, it's getting late. We should go in." I smiled at him, looking into his eyes.
 
"Huh, what?" I asked dazed. Then it sunk in. "Oh right! Back to our dorms!"
 
I heard something behind me, and before I knew it, I was on the ground."Ouch!" Somehow a Bludger had hit me. I heard footsteps behind me, but the pain in my back was sharp, and I didnt really pay attention. I heard a voice say "Good hit" and "Thanks, I hit my target....the mudblood. I knew at once it was the Slytherin boys. I didnt know how they got a Bludger, but they probaly broke the rules to get it. I couldnt stand up, and I couldnt reach for my wand to get back at them. I just lay there.
 
I nodded. "But not so late, that we have to go to bed yet. We can still do something. Can you teach me how to play Wizard's Chess?"
 
"Sure!" I said getting up and picking up my Nimbus 2000. "Wanna race back on our broomsticks?"
 
"Well then, we wouldnt want to get in trouble. Lets go back to our dorms now" the first boy said walking away. I was soon alone outside, with only Zach and Soraya. Soraya and Zach trooted over to me, and stood there. Soraya ried a whinny, but I wasnt sure anyone could hear it. Zach then raced away around the school grounds.
 
Zach ran around the grounds until he found Terra and Josh. He reared, and then galloped away. He came back to me, and nickered a greeting.
 
"Ready! Set! GO!!!!!" I yelled kicking off at go and flying to the front door. "Come on Nimbus 2000! You can beat a 2001!"
 
"Come on Nimbus 2000!" I yelled. I then sped a little faster.
 
Nobody came, so I tryed to stand up. I fell back down. Soraya bent down and pushed me onto her back. She stood up again, and walked slowly to the school. She couldnt go outside, so she whinnied and stomped her hooves, trying to make as much noise as possible.
 
I was about to go faster and win but...
"STOP MISS LANES AND MR. BATES!!!!!!!!" Yelled Professor Snape who had just appeared. We stopped.
"YOU ARE BOTH ON DETENTION!!!!!!!! AND 20 POINTS FROM GRYFFINDOR!!!!!!! EACH!!!!!!!!!!" Yelled Professor Snape. He then calmed down. "Your detention will be held with Professor Flitwick in his class!" Snape said disappearing.
"Great!" I said.
 
I hovered, still. I muttered "Ooh, harsh. Slimeball." as soon as Snape had left. "I don't care, really. Proffesor Flitwick is pretty nice."
 
"I know but still..." I said. "Forty points from Gryffindor... We let our house down... But I shouldn't say we. I'll take full resposibility from what happened!"
 
I shook my head. "No, I will. You asked me if I wanted to race, I said I did, so basicly I'll take the blame. But knowing Proffessor Flitwick, I'm sure that tommorrow at Charms we'll get some of the points back, and maybe in the other lessons we'll earn some."
 
"OK. But let me take full blame. You said you wanted to but it was my idea! And yeah we should get some points!" I said.
