"My father, is dead Johann" I said clearly. "It was probally someone else. But lets just say, my father wasnt a very nice man"

Cassidy smiled as Johann, Berii, and Karli joined her at the table. Terra soon joined them, saying something about an emergency Quiddich practice.

"Practice?" Cassidy squeaked, suprised. "Aw, no! Do you think Tim will be mad at me since I missed it? I mean, I was in the hospital wing after all. I feel so badly about it...I mean, I really don't have an excuse or anything."

Andrew had heard what she had just said, as he was walking by to go to the Slytherin table. He gave her a funny look that Cassidy didn't understand. She looked at her friends, confused.

"Do you guys know what happened to me last night?" she asked suddenly, her expression becoming dark and concerned. "Is there something I don't know?"

***

Andrew took a seat at the Slytherin table, avoiding the glances his dorm-mates gave him. He saw Professor Snape at the teachers' table. Snape got up and walked to Andrew quickly. He grabbed Andrew's shoulder, and spoke quietly to him.

"Listen, you should be really glad I don't make this abnoxious and get Dumbledore to make an announcement," he told Andrew flatly. He handed him a package, and pointed Andrew to the Gryffindor table. "You don't belong at this table anymore. Go sit with your sister."

Andrew left the Slytherins quickly, feeling really awkward. He gulped as he approached the Gryffindor table, and looked inside the package Snape had handed him. In it was a Gryffindor uniform. Andrew smiled, and took a seat quietly next to Berii.

"Um...hi," he said to Cassidy and her friends meekly. "Do you mind...if I sit with you?"

A bunch of Gryffindors stared at him with a mixture of suprise, disgust, and confusion on their faces.

Berii smiled brightly. "You can sit here," she paused. "he changed your house didn't he?" she asked cheerfully.

She looked at some of the Gryffindors look, she didn't understand why they were like that. "People shouldn't judge a person very quickly, he isn't really bad, he's not bad at all." she thought still looking at the other Gryffindors.

"Don't worry, Tim is not that type of person, Cass." Replying to her reassuringly, I twisted a strand of hair around my finger in bordom then let go.
"You didn't miss much." I finished.
Then, Andrew arrived. I guess he had switched houses. After all, he didn't seem like a true Slytherin. I should know, I HAD been in Slytherin for a shoirt period of time.
I smiled kindly as he asked to sit with us. "Yes, sure, you can sit with us, Andrew." I gestured for him to take a seat.
Noticing the other Gryffindor's stares, I guess they had judged Cassidy's brother already. Sighing, I sat down next to him.People....

Cassidy smiled as Terra reassured her about Tim, who had taken a seat for dinner at the end of the table, and looked at Cassidy expectantly. She rose from her chair to talk to him, to tell him about her incident, or what she knew of it anyway. He seemed okay with it, but told her that she needed to be at the next practice after dinner.

"I will," she promised, nodding vigorously. She returned to her seat with her friends, and looked at Terra. "Another practice after dinner...hope the weather holds!"

Her smile faded when Andrew came over, bearing a package that looked ramarkably like the packages that contained their school uniforms. She narrowed her eyebrows in confusion. Were students allowed to change houses?

"Hi, Andy," she said softly, and avoided his gaze. She did not know how to feel.

Andrew only smiled, taking a bit of mashed potatos and gravy. He seemed to be distracted by Berii anyway. ^^

"Yeah," Andy replied to Berii, who had asked him about the house switch. "Snape told me that I 'didn't belong' in Slytherin, so he got me switched to Gryffindor."

"Did everyone else fare okay after last night?" she asked softly, not sure if the Gryffindors outside of her group of friends, were supposed to know about it.

I walked into the hall where my friends were waiting.
"Hi!" I said. "I was at Quidditch! What did I miss in class?"

I listened to Karli and said, "If you say your father's dead, than your father's dead. My problem is who was that guy than? We need to at least know that, he;s the one who lead the attack. Whoever he is he wants you Karli."

Then I lowered my voice so only the gang could hear me. I whispered with a mischevious smile, "Anyone up for an adventure?"

"I am!" I whispered. "I like them!"

"Count me in too!" A voice said from behind me.

I turned around and saw that it was Will, I then replied in a whisper, "You know I'd never go on an adventure without you!" I then turned to the others, "What do you say? Are you with us?"

"Hi, Andrew. Welcome to Gryffindor" I said. I then heard Johann.
"Im really not sure, what about last night? Lots of us have injuries" I said, taking some roast beef.

Andrew smiled his thanks as the others welcomed him to Gryffindor. A few tables away, the Slytherins were staring rudely. He ignored them for the time being, and took a sip of water. Cassidy looked really uncomfortable. She seemed to be having a bit of a headache or something, the way she was holding her head.

"I don't think it's a good idea to get involved right now," Cassidy said to the ohters, now holding her stomach. She looked paler than usual, and her hair was matted around her face. She was in a cold sweat. "Gosh, I feel awful."

Andrew noticed Snape's eyes wander over to Cassidy. He looked mildly suprised, and motioned to Professor McGonigall to take notice. The rigid woman, leapt up from her chair, and ran to Cassidy. Before she could reach her, Cassidy had already passed out on the floor.

Andrew cried out in suprise, leaping up from the table, and startling those sitting around him.

"Carry her, will you, Andrew?" she asked quickly. Andrew knelt at his sister's side, and scooped her up.

He followed Professor McGonigall and Snape back to the hospital wing, Cassidy slowly regaining conciousness...

"Welcome to Gryffindor, Andrew." I grinned.
After the table had welcomed Andrew to Gryffindor (Well, most of it anyways) we all began to talk. Johann suggested goig on a adventure, Josh, who had arrived a bit late from Quidditch agreed....
A couple minutes later Cassidy passed out. I blinked, wide eyed, now filled with worry.

I looked at the girls and shrugged. "Oh well your lose." I then turned around to the boys and whispered so only they could hear me. "First we need to do some snooping. We're going to have to go around to every teacher and ask if they know who led the attack. If all else fells we're going to have to go to Dumbledore. Which I don't want him to know our intentions. So once we find out who led the attack, we'll proceed to the next stage." I then turned to the rest of them, "your welcome to join in anytime you'd like." I said smiling.

I nodded at Johann, finished lunch, and hurried away to wrap my presents and to do several other things....
---
After finishing wrapping the presents (Including Josh's Wiarding Camera) and tucking them away in my trunk, I flopped down on my bed. What a day.
First off, Tim had lectured us. Again.

He had pointed out several 'plans' for the practices, and the game...
And got really worked up when the other beater inncocently asked why we needed plans for practice.

Sighing, I sat up again, and looked at my reflection in a mug of water that sat on my night table.
I frowned, seeing that my hair seemed to be a strange color, more silvery-blonde then dark-blonde...

Maybe it's just me. After all, hair does NOT just change like that.
Pushing the mug away from me as far as possible, I stared at the ground.
What was happening to me? First my voice had gotten considerably softer, now this.

No. I decided firmly. This is just your imagination.
I pushed the mug further, and to my dismay, it fell onto the floor and cracked, sending water all over the floor.
Taking out my wand, I muttered "Repairo.", and the mug flew back together, although looking slightly altared.

Stepping through the water, and still frowning at my wavy reflection in the new puddle of water, I grabbed my school bag, and left the girl's dorm.

I got up with the boys and we walked around asking the teachers what they knew about the attack. I went to my dad first, since he normally told the truth about this like this. i walked into his office and sat down. "What is it, son?" He asked.

"I know karli's father was behind the attack last night. What else do you know about it?" I said seriously.

"How do you know that?" He asked now interested in what I had to say. I retold everything that happened with the battle between me and Karli's father. "I see...I guess I have some explaining to do. Now that you know that much." He replied once the tale was told.

I nodded. He sighed and said, "The man that you fought is, infact, Karli's father."

"But Karli said he died." I said.

"That's what we thought until now. He was a very evil man and when we heard that he was slain we thought we could finally relax. Until last night when him and his minions attacked the castle."

"He said he wanted Karli." I interupted.

"That's true. There is a prophecy that says, 'The evil ones child shall rise and rule.' That is just a brief summary of it." He said.

"But he said I was the only one that stood in the way, and that he needed to get rid of me." I said interupting again.

"That is also true. The prophecy goes on to tell about how a young boy will fall in love with the daughter of the evil one, and if the evil one doesn't get to her mind and corupts her before the boy marries the girl, then he shall parish, and his evil will be extinguished." He explained to me.

I sat there in awe as he told me this. Is the evil ones daughter Karli? And if so, am I the boy? And if I am, am I destined to marry Karli? The thought ran across my mind. "But.....then....is that why you..."I studdered.

"Yes, that's why I was trying to get you two closer together and I ended up making you both drift apart. That was my mistake. She is the girl in the prophecy, and you are the boy. That's all we know so far." He said.

"Then that's why he wants me dead." I said.

My fathers voice became very low and threatening as he said, "Yes that is exactly why. And it is your duty, not to let anything hurt her. You must protect her as well as you can. You are the only one who can save her."

I shook my head and the he dismissed me.

I went back to the Great Hall with everyone and sat down quietly trying not to look at Karli.

Cassidy woke up in the hospital wing, and cursed, loudly. She clamped her hands over her mouth, and looked to see if anyone had heard.

Of course, Snape had to be there....of course he had heard her.

"Bite your tongue," he snapped. "Where did you get that cut on your side?"

"The Chimeara that attacked us during my detention," Cassidy growled back, feeling oddly very angry. She could not understand herself. "No thanks to you!"

She clamped her hands over her mouth once more, cringing at her words. Snape looked mildly suprised, and sat back in his chair. He looked thoughtful for a moment, and then got up and left without a word.

Madam Pomphrey was nowhere in sigh, so Cassidy got up and left, feeling reckless. She stormed back into Gryffindor Tower in a fit of rage. The hairs on the back of her neck began to bristle.

"This is so frustrating," she growled, as she went upstairs to wrap her Christmas presents. When the tas was accomplished, she tucked them away in her trunk once more, slamming the lid down loudly.

Storming back downstairs, she sulked in her chair by the fire. It was nearly time for Quiddich practice, and she wasn't sure if she was fit to go.

"Of course I am," she assued herself, and went back upstairs to change and get her broom.

Feeling an odd sense of frustration that was not only rare for her, but frowned upon by her father, she dashed out of the school, mounted her broom, and flew to the Quiddich field. She flew around restlessly waiting for the rest of the team to arrive.

***

Andrew returned to the Gryffindor table for dinner after changing into the Gryffindor robes he had been assigned. He felt a lot better as the stares from his new housemates dwindled, and focused his attention on Cassidy's freinds.

"Have you seen Cassidy?" he asked Berii. "I saw her storming off out of the hospital wing. It's really unlike her. Cassidy doesn't get angry...do you know if anything's going on?"

Then, I realized Quidditch was soon- So I hurried back up, took my broom and QR (Quidditch robes), then hurried downstairs again...
