[Shiny] Mistakes were made.

    The long and short of it, is that I made a very critical mistake when transferring data to a new switch. All of my Pokemon Sword data, which contained all of my shiny pokemon, got obliterated off the face of the earth. I'm hoping some kind individuals here would be willing to help me get back even just a handful of the shinies I'd had. I have some legendaries in my Pokemon home, but not much else.

    I'll attempt to masuda breed you a Galar Ponyta for either the Hoopa or Regigigas if you want. I just now wrapped up my shiny porygon breeding.
    Might take a while though.
    I can breed it in either a Dream Ball or Love Ball (or Fast Ball, but for galar ponyta I'd personally reccomend one of the other 2). I'll wait for you to post your preference and then I'll start breeding, if the suggested trade is agreeable to you.

    Oh my god, thank you so much!! The pokeball doesn't matter much to me, but a dream ball would be pretty awesome! I'll put the Hoopa and Regigigas in a seperate home box for you so they are safe and sound. May your hunt be swift, you amazing individual!

    Okay, that luckily didn't take very long. I bred 200 eggs, and while clearing out my boxes, among the last batch of 5 eggs, there was a shiny galar ponyta. Dunno if you want me to spoil gender/nature? Might be best kept a surprise I guess.
    I saved regularly in an attempt to know exactly which egg hatches it (saved every 15 eggs hatched), without having to re-hatch too many if there actually was a shiny.

    Anyway, after it hatched I reloaded the game, hatched all but the shiny egg and saved right before it hatched.
    I can now offer you an egg that will hatch into a shiny Dream Ball Galar Ponyta (with 4 egg moves btw). After taking one step it should hatch (or possibly 2; I'm using a steam engine coalossal which speeds up hatching, which halves egg steps iirc).
    The plus side of this is that if I send you it, and you hatch it, the shiny galar ponyta will have your OT and ID.
    The downside is you can't see beforehand in the trade window if it really is a shiny, since all eggs look the same. And it's not like I can prove beyond a doubt what's in it.

    So your choice; do you want me to hatch it and play it safe, or do you want me to send you the egg so you can have your own OT/ID on it ?
    I have no intention of scamming you, but I also know it's not like I can prove what is in the egg (afaik anyway).

    I'll take the regigigas for it, Hoopa requires home to trade and I got a new phone a couple months back and still haven't set up Home on it lol
    On a side note, I got no idea if eggs can be traded on home. But they can in Sword/Shield at least. But that's a worry for later I guess.
    Edit: yea nvm, I just tried pulling this egg into Home on the switch... it's not allowed.

    Also, given that this didn't take very long. I don't mind shiny breeding my Love Ball Alolan Vulpix as well, since I kinda want both the regigigas and Hoopa.
    Mainly didn't offer right away as I don't now beforehand how long I'll be breeding. My longest shiny breed was a little over 1600 eggs... so... yea those aren't fun lol.

    We can either try and catch each other online or try and set up a trade (feel free to send me a PM or post a visitor message). My work week starts tomorrow so I'll only be available in the evenings my timezone.
    Can also wait till I have both I suppose, but that might take a while (or not, RNG is a fickle thing).

    P.s. If you'd prefer Dratini or sinistea over Alolan Vulpix I could do one of those instead. I spent all day breeding so I won't be starting that shiny breed til tomorrow after work anyway.
    I mainly picked galar ponyta and alolan vulpix thinking you'd probably like those the most from the ones you listed. And poipole can't be bred so that one is out =p

    Well, what are the odds? I find this thread, read about your wanted shinies and an hour later, I encounter a shiny Dratini in a Max Raid Battle.
    Unfortunately, I wasn't able to catch it (why does Dratini have to have the same catch rate as Dragonite...).

    Well, I guess it's up to the others now. I'm sorry.
     
    Oh dude, that's just heartbreaking. Both for you and me. I've had shiny fails before, and they never get any easier to handle. May your next hunt be swift and successful.
     
    Okay, another fast shiny. I'm not really used to getting shinies below 800 eggs other than a couple exceptions lol
    I hatched 300 eggs and no shiny. I start filling my boxes again and the 5th egg in my party while i just barely started filling them up hatched shiny xD

    I thought something weird was going on since all the alolan vulpixes were Timid nature, but apparantly the everstone required to breed other regional variants also locks in the nature.
    Guess I never noticed before =o

    So anyway, I can offer you an egg again; that will this time hatch into a shiny love ball alolan vulpix. this one came with HA, dunno if that's a plus to you, but I guess it might be extra lucky =) I did also breed the galar ponyta from a HA ponyta, but that one did not inherit HA at the time.

    I went and set up Pokemon Home on my new phone (well, its a couple months old now, but still new-ish I guess) after it hatched. Sent you a PM.
    Edit: I'll be available for almost an hour tonight (from the time of posting this reply). Can't really stay up much later than that due to work tomorrow.
    Not sure we would still be able to trade tonight, but otherwise there's always tomorrow or the day after I guess =P

    True. I understand that the fully evolved ones are hard to catch. And what makes a Sudo-legendary Dragon type characteristic is that it is hard to catch and takes a lot of time to train it until it evolves to its final form. But Dratini and Dragonite both having a 45 Catch Rate? Just...why?

    Should I encounter anything other in your list that you still don't have then I'll let you know. But don't get your hopes too much up (atleast with me) because as you probably already noticed: chances are pretty low.
