Mwar, May's cuter, but Misty and Ash had/have alot more going on. I say Misty.
 
No, bashing is quite avoidable. The complete opposite is to agree on a subject. Foe example, if you don't like Misty, then talk about May! And If you don't like May, talk about Misty! SIMPLE AS THAT!!!

You're quite correct, MewthreeXL. Unfortunately, I really can't see how May shows any affection towards Ash in that particular episode. (maybe it's because I'm an AALM fan???) It does seem, however, that May does like Ash in future episodes...

If that's the case, and Ash realizes that girls like him, he's got quite an epidemic on his hands!
 
You mean that episode? There were many lines that still could be implied between Ash and Misty.

Here's one:
May: "Even old friends could fall in love!"

And another:
May: "You'll understand when you grow up."

This line was when Ash and May were talking about love. Of course, Ash didn't understand anything. What's interesting is that I'm pretty sure that Misty said very similar, if not the exact words in the past!
 
I don't get why most people here are thinking in terms of Misty/Ash or May/Ash O_O
I vote for May, just by judging from looks and character.

Don't get me wrong, I like them both! I just thought the score needed to be evened up a little. I will admit though, there are some things which annoyed me, and they relate to Misty (nothing about her personally though, as you will soon see).

Togepi: I have never understood why the writers of the show decided to give Misty Togepi, and in the way she did. I mean, Ash, Brock and even Meowth all did something which made them deserving, but Misty? Nope (IMO), she got it because it looked at her first. Why not have Brock win Togepi, isin't he supposed to be the breeder? I was also annoyed at how she used it against Pikachu when they battled for Totodile. She knew that Pikachu wouldn't battle Togepi, yet If Pikachu had battled it, Misty would probably go balistic. Of course, since it has evolved and left, this is no longer an issue (at least not for me anyway)

The Dolls : Yep, I realised that she won them fairly, but I felt that it would of been nice if Jessie had won them. Afterall, at least Misty had dolls to begin with (on that note, why did she want to see the looks on her sister's faces? It's not as though they would be jeolous, would they?) whilst Jessie didn't. I guess I was more sympathetic to Jessie's than Misty's reason for wanting the dolls.

Also, am I the only one who's annoyed at the fact that Misty didn't learn anything in The Joy of water Pokemon?

As for Pokeshipping vs Advanceshipping..

I'm not touching it with a 80m stick!

Neither. Satoshi seems more like the kinda guy that would do everything he could to follow his dreams rather than bother with love at the moment..let alone, bother to understand it.
 
Ditto. I've been trying to say that for quite a while now, although I'd like to see Ash and Misty together sometime. I can't say the same for Satoshi and Kasumi...
 
Misty is the best! I love her and she is the coolest girl for Ash. She is much prettier and much greater than May! Misty and Ash looks beautiful together and I love when they are together. It's horrible for me that Misty don't travel with Ash in Advance Serie. I so much wish her return and I think she will come back!!!
 
Ash is too immature and too wrapped up in his battling to find "love" now or in the near future. =\
 
For the above above above (you get the idea, I was too lazy to quote...) comment about how Misty kept on bugging Ash about the bike: She wanted to stay with him, because she realized she had feelings for him, so she used the bike as an excuse to travel with him :)
I would vote Misty, because she's a very caring and intelligent girl, and I don't hate May, I'd just prefer Misty if you asked who you think is your fav. character. I also support Misty because there are too many people out there who judge her bad because "May is prettier," which IMO is not true at all, because Misty has inner beauty (and outer beauty :))

I say Misty because she is older (I think) and is a red head. Red heads are awesome!And IMo, May is just bleeh!

WHOO?! I don't think so! They were a long time together and I think they will be together. I love this kiss. So awasome! I'm happy that Misty wins! People like her more than May :) I very like May but I think Misty is much better :P
 
...True, true. Misty has been there MUCH longer than Ash has, and besides, it seems more likely that he'd marry a Gym leader than the daughter of a gym leader...OOH...maybe he becomes the new Cerulian City Gym Leader!!!...Or maybe a team-style gym, like the Mossdeep City Gym...

......And I STILL prefer AAML's kiss pic ;)

You do realize that anime characters aren't real and that their voices are done by real people, right? That's two seperate people there. :P You dislike the VOICE ACTRESS more than the character herself.

Satoshi's not even 16 yet and you're already thinking of marriage for him? o_O; So what if Kasumi's been there longer than Haruka? Doesn't mean she'll be the one Satoshi decides to go for later on in life.

Man, I'm sorry to say but it really seems like none of you really understand how romance works. :| The kid's dense to love. He has no feelings for any of these girls. Nor do they have any for him. Satoshi's focused on being a Pok?mon Master, not a Love Master. I can totally see Satoshi growing up to become the kind of guy that would go off to another region, leaving everyone in suspense on how he's doing and returning having gained more valuable experience and lessons and Pok?mon. The moment he discovers other things awaiting him, he'd jump at the first chance to go there. I can NEVER see him settling down or having any specific role of being a Gym Leader or anything of that sort.
