and that's beside the fact that that line wasn't in the original anyway.... he was actually talking about the road they should take, or something along those lines...he didn't mention Misty at all really...
 
Polls closed, but I say May, no questions asked! Misty always randomly kicked the hell into brock whenever he looked at any girl, and that just annoyed me...

Too ugly? No... That's just kinda mean to Misty now. I'm a Pokeshipper, and I don't consider that a hint, because Ash just didn't want complaints in their situation and didn't want to argue either.

maya miyazono is right; this is not a shipping discussion. So....

I find Misty more of an interesting character, not in the sense that she "accomplished" as much as May, but in her beliefs and likes/dislikes.
Disliking bugs, mushrooms, evil; sounds like me to me :) I suppose I can much more relate to Misty, and I like water Pokemon, too ;)
 
Misty hated mushrooms? From what I can remember, she also abhorred carrots and (bell) peppers. Go figure...

Right now, I think we know more about Misty than May, although the info on May is quickly getting more attention. Faster than Misty...

This is just from an AAML fan, so don't hurt me. I hope this sorta makes sense.
 
Misty is smart . May is act like an idiot most of the time (hides from May fans >_<) But if i were to pair them with Ash, May would be better :D so they both win

Ok. Misty usually keeps Ash together, and is more mature than May. And she thinks before she acts. May is a little bit more clumsy than Misty and doesnt really think things through. The AndvancedShipping? Well Ash helps May alot becoming a trainer and I know Ash likes helping oout more than being told what to do by Misty. That would strengthen a relationship better because I think May likes being helped too. Phew! That was a mouthful. o3o

In that case, I'd think it was a brother-helping-sister-kinda thing.

I agree, though May seems to be maturing now. I still view May as a replacement for Misty, though, and anyone who tries to rebut against this, because it is NOT true that Misty was cut off air due to lack of character or even popularity.

She is the replacement, yes, but it IS because of lack of character in Kasumi. Compare all the stuff she did in Kanto and then what she did in Jouto. She's simply just in the background in Jouto. Her character fizzled out.

No, that is not the case AT ALL. Misty had a great personality and character, and the writer wouldn't have let her go if it wasn't for her seiyuu (aka voice actor).

In case some of you haven't heard, Satoshi Tajiri and Misty's japanese voice actor had some issues, and so she was forced to stop working. However, she agreed to a deal with Mr. Tajiri and voice act some Misty specials (like the Togepi Mirage) and the episodes currently in Japan that she is returning to for three days. So, in an attempt to replace Misty, the ONLY female in the group traveling with Ash, he had to create May. So, May IS a replacement, no questions asked, and Misty was NOT cut off air due to lack in character, it was only the writer's problem with the voice actor. The voice actor is bound to come back, soon though, then Misty will make her ever-so-awaited return. No questions asked.
 
Ever thought that the very possibility for this is BECAUSE her character barely got much of a role? It's the same reason why Shigeru's seiyuu quit. Not much of a necessity for a role that barely got much of an appearance. Kasumi's character was screwed over the moment Togepi stepped in. Might I also point out that Kasumi HOSTS Pok?mon Sundays along with Takeshi, so I doubt that's true about there being a fight.
