Hi I'm wondering if I should have this set on absol:
    Absol:
    @Wise glasses
    Trait:adamant
    Flamethrower
    hp [dark] (?)
    Psycho cut
    stone edge

    So what do you recommend?

wierd mixed absol im not good with mixed but good call on HPdark maybe dark pulse instead

    1) Absol sucks at special sweeping, believe me I did it once

    2) If you are going to mix sweep, never EVER use a Nature that lowers one of the attacks, that's pointless

Yes it does suck but I had no choice but to use it. (It had power 70 for hp dark)

Even with a neutral nature & Life Orb, Flamethrower does little over 80% damage to standard Skarmory when it comes from Absol

Sure the surprise factor comes into it, but really it ain't worth it IMO

absol can't special pr mixed sweep. It's that simple. Just run the physical set if you wish to use it.

    That's still no excuse...:\

    Go with the Physical Set:

    Absol@Focus Sash
    252 Att/ 252 Spd/ 6 HP
    Trait: Super Luck
    Nature: Adament
    -Swords Dance
    -Psycho Cut
    -Sucker Punch
    -Stone Edge

    Alot more effective.

    Breed for another one.

    Absol @ Leftovers (M)
    Trait: Super Luck
    Adamant / Jolly Nature
    - Night Slash
    - Curse
    - Baton Pass
    - X-Scissor. Not too sure on this one.

Hey! Absol's have feeling's to you know ;_;.

    "image removed"

    Absol @ Life Orb
    Trait: Super Luck
    Rash Nature (+SAtk -SDef)
    EVs: 80 Atk / 178 Spd / 252 Sp.Atk
    - Thunderbolt/Flamethrower
    - Swords Dance
    - Night Slash
    - Ice Beam

EVs put it at 230 Spd, outrunning Adamant Breloom and everything slower (Tyranitar, Gliscor, etc.)
Besides, 80 Atk EVs is all I need with Swords Dance on here.
The Thunderbolt/Flamethrower option is just for whatever you see as being a bigger threat to this thing:
Bulky Waters or Steels not named Heatran.

    *Calculations*

    Night Slash (Post-Swords Dance):

    66.81% - 78.57% to Bold Max HP/Def Blissey.
    76.13% - 89.41% to Bold Max HP/Def Cresselia.
    105.78% - 124.49% to Impish Max HP/Def Dusknoir.

    Thunderbolt:

    83.23% - 97.90% to Impish Max HP/Min SDef Skarmory.
    63.45% - 74.62% to Bold Max HP/Min SDef Slowbro.
    45.79% - 53.96% to Bold Max HP/Min SDef Suicune.
    43.91% - 51.52% to Bold Max HP/Min SDef Milotic.

    Ice Beam:

    88.61% - 104.46% to Impish Max HP/Min SDef Tangrowth.
    64.76% - 76.19% to Impish Max HP/Min SDef Hippowdon.
    81.51% - 95.83% to Impish Max HP/Min SDef Donphan.
    148.87% - 174.86% to Impish Max HP/Min SDef Gliscor.

    Flamethrower:

    45.56% - 53.85% to Sassy Max HP/98 SDef Bronzong.
    62.36% - 73.35% to Adamant Max HP/Min SDef Metagross.
    51.49% - 60.64% to Timid Max HP/Min SDef Jirachi.
    176.84% - 208.19% to Relaxed Max HP/Min SDef Forretress.
    83.23% - 97.90% to Impish Max HP/Min SDef Skarmory.

    Yah.

you should put a dark atk on the special side because STAB

Well, it IS kind of a surprise to see an Absol OHKO your Foretress with Flamethrower/Fire Blast. They can't set up SR and Spikes or go boom. Same for Gyra, who would normally set up on an Absol, get a nice chunk taken out by T-bolt

Why? Absol's attack is FAR better.

Exactly. No point in making it fail. If you have a Stats that is far better then the one you're choosing you better choose that one. Or in some cases, a Speed increasing Nature. There may e some exceptions in using Mixed, but hell no on Absol.
