Ah, the nightmarish world of MMORPGs. No one knows what "teamwork" is, everyone "Need" rolls on stuff they can't even use and if the glitches don't make you crazy, the swarms will.

Do you play any MMORPGs currently?

Have you played an MMORPG in the past?

What do you like about MMORPGs?

What do you hate about MMORPGs?

I am currently playing Rift. In the past I've played Aion along with some other less serious ones such as FlyFF. In MMOs, I love that there is always something to do and the game is always evolving and changing as it goes along. I particularly enjoy the rifts in Rift. LOL. In general, I solo on MMOs (I know, but I am such an angry person) but Rift takes away that need by giving us rifts. I love rifts because I can work in a group, but in general we don't work that closely and it's not like a dungeon that requires serious strategy and teamwork (and a tank that doesn't suck). You can just attack the creatures and get the same rewards as everyone else. Which is awesome (how much you get depends on how much you helped). I hate dungeons, going into the same area three or more times because I keep getting quests there, getting quests that are too high of a level and I have a very love/hate relationship with PvP.

Do you play any MMORPGs currently?

Nope, I quit cold turkey once I got to college.

Have you played an MMORPG in the past?

First MMO was FlyFF (whoo Kern server!), then I played Perfect World, then I had short stints on Shaiya and a few others, then back to Perfect World, then someone offered me a free WoW account so I played that for a while.

What do you like about MMORPGs?

The interaction, definitely. If I play an MMO on my own, it's just depressing. One of the reasons I was so intense about them in my high school days was because I was super shy irl, but not online, and I would make so many friends.

What do you hate about MMORPGs?

The drama/the monotony. Because a guild in an MMO is like a group of people irl, people fight, some people don't like each other, and then you have to deal with a group of friends where there's also a hierarchy. It gets very dramatic, and if anyone you know irl plays with you, that drama can spill over into your actual life. My mother and sister played an MMO with me and it kind of ruined my enjoyment of MMOs in general because internet drama caused real punishments for me.

The monotony of it is what gets to you if you start playing for yourself, and not to be with other people like what I did. FlyFF for example - I have never played a game with as much grinding. But I look back on that game with fond memories because I met so many good people on it. Similarly, games that I knew almost no one in I could see the monotony, such as in WoW.

Do you play any MMORPGs currently? - Heck yeah, RuneScape, Mabinogi, and Comba- ...Wait, that's an MMOFPS

Have you played an MMORPG in the past?- I quit playing Perfect World recently, since it was such a space who- ...Hog.

What do you like about MMORPGs?- The infinite gameplay. Most/all single-player RPGs run out of quests, but MMOs are constantly updating!

What do you hate about MMORPGs? - HORRIBLE COMMUNITIES. I cannot STRESS THIS ENOUGH.

Do you play any MMORPGs currently?

Battle of the Immortals level 111 hrtc

    Perfect world level 80 archer

    Forsaken worldd level 29 mage.
Have you played an MMORPG in the past?

Knight online was banned for botting hoping to get my character back as I had a few awesome items on there, incase anyone has played I had a rebirthed +3 Eagle eyebow with full rebirth 60 armour.

Corum online. Game shut down was gutted as that is my favourite ever mmorpg, I loved the people there was no insances or anything it was pure grinding, There were pvp dungeons you could own and when you did you charged people to enter and you get the money and part of the exp they earn while they are in it. Was an amazing game and was gutted when it shut down.

Luna Online- Just didn't enjoy this one, graphics were terrible,

Flyf, Just hated it, was just after they closed corum online and this didn't meat up to what I wanted.

Rappelz, Old school game but had aweful gameplay.

There are loads more such as runescape, Mu online (still play sometimes) few cash shop items on there. And plenty more.
What do you like about MMORPGs?
Communitys, I love talking with people and having fun with them as soon as people leave I move onto a new game.

What do you hate about MMORPGs?
Constant instances. I am much more an old schooler, I love to getting. I find it fun and enjoyable, especially when your grinding in a pvp zone and someone tried to take your spot.

Would be good to see an mmo that we all played.

Do you play any MMORPGs currently?
    Grand Fantasia, seldomly.

Have you played an MMORPG in the past?
The aforementioned; and Runescape, when it was a very new concept to me — I gave up trying to do anything.

What do you like about MMORPGs?
Hmm... Suppose if I played Eve Online I could at least say I like the setting and watching ships fight, but I don't happen to. I should look into that game, really, but first I'd want people to play with... and that's it really, the social interaction is the main reason anyone plays MMO games. One's company will form, in large part, their perception of the game itself.

What do you hate about MMORPGs?
They're ultimately just glorified chatrooms of a sort. A way to pass time, if one so desires, but not often substantial games on their own. In a word: unfulfilling.

aDo you play any MMORPGs currently?
Nah I like my life too much to do it.

Have you played an MMORPG in the past?
I've played MU Online and Maple Story. MU was only private servers, and I played Maple Global. Maple Story is a pretty cool, though childy MMO, which is ruined by retards who try to scam you. They're everywhere. HIDE YO MESOS.
If I do play multiplayer, it's an FPS game. Though really, they suffer from the "supposed to be but not working together team" syndrome.

What do you like about MMORPGs?
Inviting someone to a trade, giving out a crap price, then saying lolnub and quitting.
Well I usedd to like it. I didn't play MMOs for a long time, so I can't really remember anything..

What do you hate about MMORPGs?
As I mentioned above, and Cassino mentioned it as well, the community shapes the game, especially in MMOs. Bad community - not enjoyable game, unless you do find some gold, but who knows if they're not backstabbers.

The only mmorpg i've played is runecape, but i always got bored everytime i started it, no matter how many times i tried to get into it i just cudnt do.
I never went near WOW and dont ever plan to, its a soul sucking game tht turns pple into zombies! :O :P

Do you play any MMORPGs currently? WoW: Cataclysm

Have you played an MMORPG in the past? Runescape when i was like.. 8

What do you like about MMORPGs? Well, RPing with a bunch of people. Or raiding and accomplishing tasks with 9 or 24 other people, which is one of the best feelings in the world to me

What do you hate about MMORPGs? The community is seriously going downhill, nuff said. Plus, the stereotypes about them really suck..

Do you play any MMORPGs currently?
At the moment, no. I'm on the lookout for one, but nothing really appeals to me anymore, especially after WoW. Thinking about getting Guild Wars to prepare me for GW2.

Have you played an MMORPG in the past?
Too many to name. Some honorable mentions: Maplestory, Tales of Pirates, Fiesta, Vindictus, WoW

What do you like about MMORPGs?
Interacting with so many people, and having an open world that I can enjoy with friends. I got into WoW with a close friend which made the game 10 times better (and he's trying to pull me back in).

What do you hate about MMORPGs?
The ridiculous lack on innovation. After WoW's success, so many devs thought it was the only formula that could work. Too man WoW-clones flooding the market.

Do you play any MMORPGs currently?
Nope. I've never really been much of an MMO person (I'm kind of antisocial on the internet, believe it or not xD) so they just aren't my thing.
Have you played an MMORPG in the past?
I've played WoW, MapleStory, Runescape (I think?), Everquest (played on a friend's account when I was like 11), some Korean one whose name escapes me and I thiiiink FlyFF. Oh, and some FPS or something that my brother made me play with him once but I don't remember it at all.
What do you like about MMORPGs?
Honestly, I find grinding really relaxing and pretty much all the ones I've played have featured it quite extensively. :| Questing is fun!
What do you hate about MMORPGs?
I get a bit anxious when people talk to me and I don't know them. xD; I'm fine playing with friends but get people I don't know in the mix and it's just... weird? I ALWAYS feel like a noob when I play them (because I always am) and I always feel like people will judge me. So finding interaction with other people awkward kind of... breaks the entire experience for me.

If anything though I kind of resent MMOs nowadays because I've lost a lot of friends to them. :/ They get addicted (it's happened a lot of times in the past, and not just with the typical WoW-fare) and while they may not be the worst of addicts, they'll still quite often choose playing the MMO every single day instead of spending any time with me which just... hurts. I know not everyone's like this and it's not wholly the MMO's fault but I'm so hesitant to let myself get immersed for this very reason.

Do you play any MMORPGs currently?
    Sadly, nope.

Have you played an MMORPG in the past?
Not to many, but I had a lot of fun with WoW before and during BC, Aion before I hit max level (it had a lot of fun stories within it and NPCs felt more "alive" than in WoW, although I've heard Cata has done some good changes with that). I LOVED Exteel, and miss it dearly. I have a thing for big robots. No others come to mind.

What do you like about MMORPGs?
Feeling as if you're a pilot of a massive, metal behemoth equipped with a lance weaving though buildings trying to close in on a small frail mech equipped with a cannon on a high perch and actually succeeding in taking it out against the odds. Coordinating as a team with other friends to capture the opposing teams flag (but NOT joining in with random people, or against a team of random people who only want to troll one another). Those epic moments that are too fun to turn into a story and tell friends.

What do you hate about MMORPGs?
Playing them without friends. When the community gets waaaay to overly competitive and develops ways to find out mechanics that keep a game alive only when they are hidden. I loved WoW until EVERY quest/item was known. I loved it when seeing someone at max level was a "Woah, they must not have a life outside of this game." I enjoyed it until everyone could see all of the bosses. It was awesome when you felt like you get to see a legendary beast you had only heard of, and not already fought and farmed constantly before because it existed in two modes (heroic and non-heroic). So, I guess I hate that "I must win and have it all!" mentality that seems to be catered by developers. I even feel it's that American individualistic ambition that most take pride in that changes a lot of the MMOs out there when they reach the US. That frustration is why I am not playing any at the moment. I just hope Blade and Soul stays true to Korean culture and is not dumbed down like Aion was.

Do you currently play any MMORPGs?
Yes, i'm currently playing Battle of the Immortals, Grand Chase, Forsaken world from time to time.
Have you played an MMORPG in the past?
Lots, i've got 52 MMOs on my Computer currently and i have uninstalled alot of MMOs...so yeah, LOTS. My First MMO was Grand Chase.
What do you like about MMORPGs?
I like the battle system, in 2D MMOs the pvp is fairly easy, fluent and allows for lots of real time comboes to be made in seconds. In 3D MMOs you mostly have to strategize, and they allow somewhat long intense yet fun gameplay. I like games with anime inspired or cartoonish graphics because they give me a feel of a good game. The thing i like but never mention would be character customization, because the ability to make my char look like some BAD ASS PVPER even though i have like 50 losses is just epic.
What do you hate about MMORPGs?
COMMUNITIES. It's not that i hate communities in general, but most MMO communities are made of 3 components arrogance, lack of help and self satisfaction. Most members in an MMO are so annoying they keep pestering on you even though they can't tie 2 sentences together, keep wantin stuff and even if you're a friend when they lose they might turn back on you...
NOBODY WILL HELP, they'll brush you off by saying "omg go away noob" or something and leave you bang your head on the wall.
Most things are done only to benifit the member, they will only help you kill a certain boss for alot of coins or something...they'll only pvp you if they want to win and stuff....
I understand this since i'm SORT OF like this...i won't awlaysh help in an MMO mostly cause i don't chat that much...but if someone asks for my help in a boss battle low lv or not i'm there for the thrills, plus i have spare accs for occasional pvp win wanters.

Do you play any MMORPGs currently?
Nope. I stopped caring after i got some good Console Games. (I LOVE YOU PERSONA 3 FES AND PERSONA 4!!!)

Have you played an MMORPG in the past?
I've played more them most would. I played...Shin Megami Tensei: Imagen Online, Maplestory, i dabbled in the Wow Free account thing, Dungeon Fighters, Nostale (the Uk one i think....might have been the Usa one.), Trickster Online, Grand Chase, Crossfire, and more i can't remember.

What do you like about MMORPGs?
Playing with a friend. At least your not doing boring level grinding by yourself. :)

What do you hate about MMORPGs?
The community. There are some real a$$es in the community. I especially hate the people who brag about how their the best in the world, and you can't say otherwise. And when they lose, they say you cheated and run away like the d**kheads they are. Grrrr....NOW I MUST KILL STUFF!!! PS2, HERE I COME!!

I'm not playing any MMO's right now, and the only one I've played in the past was Runescape, but I really want to get into one so bad. They seem really fun to me but I never have anybody to play with so I can't get into it as much as I could.

What I really want to play is Final Fantasy XI or Rift, so if anybody here plays, get to know me and maybe we can play together! ..at least once I've got the cash. :x
