You guys use it? It is almost a silly question because nowadays I don't know many people who don't, but...

It can get annoying IMO. I don't know how many other people are fed up with some people not understand that you do not want to be bothered by their drivel every second of the day, but I definitely don't like people who abuse texting. :x Especially when they re-text me the SAME MESSAGE if I don't reply to them. It's like "HELLO, I didn't reply the first time..."

But yeah. You guise have some pros/cons of it? I mean, it is a great way to get in touch with people on the go and it is preferable to talking on the phone for me.

Psh, I have no problem with texting. : 3 It's a good way to do something when you're bored. And I always have it on vibrate so it doesn't annoy me.

Texting drives me crazy. It wouldn't annoy me so much if I didn't have the worst t9 dictionary on the planet, and if people didn't like to forward me chains / start conversations with the most annoying and vague greetings ever.

I really like texting! I feel so happy when I get a text. If someone is texting me and they're being annoying I just don't text them back. Simple as that.

I don't have texting T-T My parents say its useless when you could just call them since your using the phone >.>

I don't text to the point that it becomes trite, so it's not so bothersome.

Texting is a actually a pretty great way to stay in contact with friends when you don't really feel like having a full on conversation. That, and most phone companies don't charge long distance for texts, so there's a plus right there.

I don't really text much. Although, I do prefer texting to actually calling people, but I don't really call much so go figure. I mostly IM over Facebook or Skype if I must talk to my friends.

I only hate texting when I get some stupid forward message at four in the morning. Other times, no problem, unless of course my inbox gets flooded with "Where r u nate?!?!?" when I'm driving or at a movie.

I don't text too much because it isn't free. D: I don't have a package that is unlimited texting. So every text message I get...it is .20 cents more. Yeah it isn't much, but in due time it adds up quick. Because I get messages all the time. I receive messages more than sending them. So it is a pain. I need to get a package that allows unlimited texting and it doesn't cost you a dime when you receive one.

What can I say? It's conveniant, and it's cheaper than calling. But it gets annoying when my friends text me every time one of them gets a mars bar...

    I don't enjoy texting.
My friends text me all the time. It gets annoying when I have to reply. What's wrong with calling? Is it a lost art or something. If you want to talk about something complex, it really annoys me that I'm using an alphanumeric keyboard to write really long sentences when you can just call the other person and get an answer in 4 minutes.

I have a qwerty keyboard function on my phone and I have a handwriting function. Problem is, they don't hold a candle to actual audio interface. It takes to dang long. I try calling but they never pick up. They only text me in reply.

What is wrong with talking? :\

Psh, I have no problem with texting. : 3 It's a good way to do something when you're bored. And I always have it on vibrate so it doesn't annoy me.

    Any other reasons?
    xD

I'd say it's quite annoying frankly, it feels rude to ignore them but, it's just a feeling right?

I rarely send text messages; usually ignore most of them.
It ticks off people waiting at the other end. :3

I use my mobile more for texting than phoning really. I just find it easier (until I started using predictive with the worst dictionary ever), it's cheaper and people are more likely to check their texts than their voice mail.

I love texting. I don't like bothering my friends with calls. They have to stop what they're doing, then answer the phone. Then if you don't really have anything to say, and just wanted to see what they were doing, there's long pauses where you don't know what to say.

Plus, if they're sleeping, their text message ringtones usually don't wake them up. Mine doesn't, which is good because sometimes they text me at like 3AM. XD

It's useful when you don't want to pay a large bill (especially an international one), but annoying with what provider you get (often) as well as some of the phone models, and the incessant clicking noises or annoying ringtones... This one girl had bug sounds or something for various keys... On the bus... I wanted to smash her phone...

Most annoying of all is the people in the theatre... With their backlight, and ringtones... All I can hope for is some karmic experience, unless if I snap and grab and smash their phone... (no I haven't snapped yet).

Haha, I did this topic, but more as a poll if you prefer call or text. XD

I have to agree with Mizan that calling seems to be a lost art. D: Whenever I see someone with a cell phone, they use text and not call. D:

I prefer calling to texting because sometimes I don't check my text messages. Also, my cell phone doesn't have the best dictionary in the world. >.> One other thing is usually I have a lot to say, so it's better if I call someone and talk to them about it, considering my cell phone has limited characters per reply. And oh, sometimes I have to wait for replies with texts so I would rather call to get an answer (though yeah, bothering and phone tagging can be annoying XD; ). One good thing I like about texting though is I can reply during lectures. :P
