True, I didn't look at most of the threads, but in one topic, on the first page, a third of the threads were closed. And on the second page 11 threads were closed & 9 were open.

Is this to save on bandwidth/space or because idiots were posting in the threads. I know I'm completely new here, but when I see a forum that looks like the mods just go around showing off that they're mods, it makes me not want to stick around.

    Just curious.

They all went extremely off-topic and/or became flamefests.

Don't worry. There was a reason / were reasons.

*Is wondering if this thread will stay open*

If you want to send feedback about the staff, you should post in Community Questions and Feedback, not in Other Chat.

Anyway, if you are talking about HeartGold/SoulSilver or Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, it's because most threads are spam, duplicate or simple questions that should have been posted in the Simple questions thread. We only close threads when they break the rules, it's not like we go around closing them for no reason.

I think the moderators do enjoy closing threads. Maybe it gives them a sense of power over the rest of us, like dictators, but friendly ones. I think we should have a moderator appreciation day to appreciate our moderators. Followed by a supermod appreciation day and an admin appreciation day. Then they will feel good about the work they do for us daily. We love you guys~!

    Spoiler:

I wouldnt dis the mods when your new it wont make you very populer.
anyway the mods close threads for reasons sure they can be abit harsh but yeah if you follow the rules then youll be fine.

While sometimes, the moderators can be a bit insensitive at times, it is indeed their job to close threads which don't belong. We don't delete threads here, we lock them so that people know what not to post around here. If you see a locked thread, give it a read, and see why it was locked...it usually clarifies the rules.

Closing this because I feel like it and I have nothing better to do.

(Actually, because no discussion can come from this and certain members like reiterating points over and over to make themselves appear to be smarter than they actually are. You know who you are.)
