    Expect Nothing:
When Platinum was released, not only did the metagame become more offensively orienteated, but it also became a lot more standard. It was always a rule of thumb for me to use Pokemon I like and enjoy using in battle so the Platinum metagame would not conform me to Pokemon found in nearly all my opponents teams. The ones that are standard Pokemon, do not have standard roles. Expect Nothing...

    The Team at a Glance:

    The Team in Depth:

    *pokemonelite2000 image removed*
    Ambipom @ Life Orb
    Nature : Adamant
    Ability : Technician
    Effort Values : 4 HP // 252 Atk // 252 Spe

    Fake Out
    U - Turn
    Brick Break
    Payback

    --------------------------------------------
Ambipom is often overlooked as a lead because it is UU and cannot set up the oh so important Stealth Rock, but Ambipom can break Focus Sashes and proceed to switch to an appropriate counter. With Technician, Adamant nature and a Life Orb, Ambipom can actually deal quite a bit of damage simply through flinching and then fleeing. I have yet to use Payback so if there is anything that might work better over that, I am all ears.
    --------------------------------------------

    Vileplume @ Leftovers
    Nature : Calm
    Ability : Chlorophyll
    Effort Values : 244 HP // 136 Def // 128 Sp.Def

    Sludge Bomb
    Substitute
    Leech Seed
    Stun Spore

    --------------------------------------------
Vileplume was in one of my older teams and he was such a great team member I decided to use him again and he was what sort of started this whole team off. Capable of taking hits from both sides of the spectrum and able to cripple sweepers and Leech Seed walls and sweepers alike all while hiding behind a Substitute is both annoying and effective. Sludge Bomb is there for STAB and for reliable damage against Pokemon Vileplum would stay in on. Staple member of the team, he has been one of the greatest successes on this team.
    --------------------------------------------

    *pokemonelite2000 image removed*
    Heatran @ Leftovers
    Nature : Modest
    Ability : Flash Fire
    Effort Values : 252 HP // 16 Sp. Atk // 240 Sp.Def

    Stealth Rock
    Roar
    Overheat
    Will-O-Wisp

    --------------------------------------------
When people see Heatran, they think ScarfTran which gives me time to set up Stealth Rock or to predict what they will switch in next and cripple them with Will-O-Wisp. Most people don't expect this Heatran and is one of the major unexpected members of the team. Overheat is there for STAB and incase I can get a Flash Fire boost. He is the latest member to join as I recently replaced someone but so far he is doing well.
    --------------------------------------------

    *pokemonelite2000 image removed*
    Tyranitar @ Life Orb
    Nature : Hasty
    Ability : Sand Stream
    Effort Values : 116 Atk // 144 Sp.Atk // 248 Spe

    Dragon Dance
    Crunch
    Fire Blast
    Hidden Power [Grass]

    --------------------------------------------
The next not so Standard member of the team. If I can get a Dragon Dance in on the switch most opponents switch in there physical walls a lot of which when I encounter them are steel type. So I can Fire Blast in there faces, or Hidden Power as a surprise and not many expect it and is able to OHKO a member of their party. Crunch has not served me as well as expected so any suggestions are welcome for that.
    --------------------------------------------

    *pokemonelite2000 image removed*
    Weavile @ Choice Band
    Nature : Jolly
    Ability : Pressure
    Effort Values : 4 HP // 252 Atk // 252 Spe

    Ice Shard
    Pursuit
    Brick Break
    Night Slash

    --------------------------------------------
My pseudo revenge killer. Ice Shard and Choice Band gives a great way of dealing with dragons, weak Pokemon or anything that doesn't have optimal defenses and resists it. Pursuit is there to trap and kill various Pokemon like Gengar or other frail ghosts. I haven't used Night Slash yet so if there is anything that potentially could fill its gap, let me know!
    --------------------------------------------

    *pokemonelite2000 image removed*
    Suicune : Leftovers
    Nature : Modest
    Ability : Pressure
    Effort Values : 252 HP // 104 Sp.Atk // 152 Spe

    Surf
    Ice Beam
    Calm Mind
    Substitute

    --------------------------------------------
Suicune which serves as my bulky attacker. Substitute and Calm Mind away as much as I can. Surf for STAB and Ice Beam mainly for coverage. Although I am thinking of replacing Ice Beam as it has rarely been of use. This Suicune has done me well, but I just don't think it survives long enough without a recovery move. It does the job well, just perhaps not the job needed for my team...
    --------------------------------------------

Well that is my team, I haven't done any battling for a very long time, so be harsh and give me lots of criticism as long as it is helpful. Thanks!

Is there any reason at all you're using Vileplume over Venusaur? Favoritism is not an argument, sorry. Venusaur does what Vileplume does better; bulkier, more HP, at the cost of 4 Defense (which is balanced out by the 10 more HP).

Um, I don't like that Tyranitar :( If you want to go Mixed DD Tar, Ice Beam > HP Grass is the better option. If you REALLY want to remove Crunch, Stone Edge can go over it, but I don't reccommend you rid yourself of Crunch.

    Pretty fun team.

    Alrighty then.
Venasaur will be placed over Vileplume and HP Grass is switched with Ice Beam on Tyranitar.
    Thank you for the rate!

Well Lucario and Scizor kinda mash you. In addition, so do foe Tyranitar and Gyarados =/

Also sub cune doesnt work that well with SS on the same team as it btw since it negates lefties.

Making suicune into this would help with said Gyarados weakness

    Suicune@Leftovers
    172 HP / 120 SP.ATT / 216 SPEED
    Timid Nature
    - Calm Mind
    - Hidden Power Electric
    - Ice Beam
    - Hydro Pump

Since the only things that really stop this are dedicated special walls and you have weavile with Pursuit to rid that problem it should work well.

Next to rid that horrifc Scizor weak, you should maybe make Heatran faster than Scizor or better yet, scarf it. (Stealth Rock/Hidden power Ice/Fire Blast/Earth power) Then lead with this, since its an ok lead.

Next since you cant switch into fighting pokemon (Lucario, Hera etc) what so ever id maybe put something like Roost Mixmence >> Vileplume to serve as a check to them.

    Salamence@Life Orb
    80 ATT / 252 SP.ATT / 176 SPEED
    Rash Nature
    - Brick break
    - Fire Blast / Flamethrower
    - Draco meteor
    - Roost

This would lessen the need for DD Fail mix tar. Speaking of which, Mix DDTar sucks through testing, honestly its a waste of a slot. Purely physical outclasses it in every way shape and form and in regards to hp grass since what i assume you want to hit with it (aka Swampert) is 2hko'd by a DD LO/Black Glasses Crunch anyways. (Crunch/Aqua Tail/DD/Stone Edge @ Jolly max speed and att)

Id maybe then put something like Rest Talk Machamp>> Ambipom for Tyranitar and since status isnt kind to you.

    Machamp@Leftovers
    252 HP / 36 ATT / 216 DEF / 4 SPEED
    Impish nature
    Trait : No Guard
    - Dynamic Punch
    - Stone Edge / Ice Punch
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk

    Scarf Tran
    DD Tar
    Offensive Cune
    Mix Mence
    Weavile
    Rest Talk Machamp

    Something like this.

I don't know if you've noticed but you have a massive infernape weakness as its decimates 5/6 of your possy.
I know you have suicune's surf to back you up but is that enough? What if suicune is already out for the count? I don't even know if suicune can take a Close Combat from an infernape. Just something to think about thats all.
