    So obviously, since we're all on the same page as to semi-impulse buys, how much (approx %) do you spend on non-essential items? (like donating)

    I don't know if this should go in OVP or the VIP lounge ;;

    I... don't spend much on them at all. Not even on donations, actually - I got to tier 5 purely with others donating for me because they're wonderful people!

    ...although that said my last impulse buy was yesterday. This.

    I donate €15 to the Red Cross, €7 to a political party I'm a member of, and then I usually buy a CD and/or a book pretty much every month, costing around €30.

    I don't really buy much more other than that, at least in the non-essential group.

    I dont donate money often. I probably could and should donate some money to the animal shelter I volunteer at as it only helps them. So, I spend not much on donations and non essential things. I donated $15 to PC, which is a good amount. When Im employed I may be able to afford donating to more places and spending more.

    I managed to spend over $500 last week.

    Yeah.

    I usually go through periods of extreme frugality to periods of extreme consuming. I'm on one of the consuming highs right now. I just bought a bird feeder and went out with my friend. Easily spent around $300 in the last weeks.

    I do a lot of impulse buying, and it is a bad habit of mine.
