I've started Emerald. Holy crap this is hard, there's literally only 3 pokemon worth having before you face Norman, Wingull, Electrike and Sandshrew... And you can't get Sandshrew until you have 4 badges. I've got 3 badges right now but I think badge 4 and 5 will be rough.
