Monotype Challenge (Ver. 2.0)

I destroyed Whitney. :D Scizor killed Clefaory in one hot with Rock Smash, and Miltank with two. :)

I also beat my Rival in Brass Tower! He was easy, but his Bayleef was really annoying, it just kept spamming that healing move.

Scizor is now level 24, and Aron and Prinplup are level 23.

I am currently in Saffron City Gym,training Nincada till 25 level to make Ninjask learn Swords Dance (is it a good idea?) Still waiting for more decorables for Safari ~~

Well Ninjask is more of a baton passer but sure it's fine. Any team will work in-game just as long as you grind up.

My ice Challenge is coming along nicely, though I've been spending the past little while grinding my team up so they can take on the elite four.

I've arrived at the Indigo Plateau, but I plan to grind all of my guys to level 40 before I make my first attempt.

Glaceon, level 36. ( ability is snow cloak, raises evasiveness in a hailstorm) Blizzard, Hail, Ice Beam, and Icy Wind.

Mamoswine, level 38. Mud bomb( soon to be replaced with Earthquake), Ancient Power, Avalanche, and Strength.

Lapras, level 37. Waterfall, Surf, Ice Beam, and Thunderbolt

Jynx, level 36. Psychic, Shadow Ball, Avalanche, and Sing.

Cloyster, Level 37. Clamp, Aurora Beam, Supersonic, and Withdraw.

And my currently in-training Weavile, at level 29, with Faint attack, Thief, Ghost Claw(Shadow claw?) and Screech.

Most of my pokemon's move sets are up for changing. So, we'll see.

Grass Challenge Update 4
-Started in Ecruteak City where I decided to skip the gym for now and do some training on the way to Olivine City
-Cleared all the trainers on Routes 38 and 39 while meeting the Warden of the new Johto Safari Zone, Baoba
-Made it to Olivine City and climb to the top of it's lighthouse to find the gym leader,Jasmine taking care of a sick Ampharos
-Knowing I can't get to Cianwood City without a a Fog Badge and HM03 I head back to Ecruteak City and go into the dance theater
-When I arrive I see a Rocket Grunt causing trouble so I destroyed him and got HM03 as a reward
-After the battle my Exeggcute learns Confusion and I give it a Leaf Stone
-Exeggcute evolves into Exeggcutor!
-Just when I was scheming on how I could win in a ghost gym I got a phone call from my mom saying to go pick something from the PokeMart
-And to my convenience, that something was a Choice Scarf(Raises speed but only allows the use of one attack)
-I equipped my Exeggutor with the Choice Scarf and sweep through all the trainers in the gym on my way to the gym leader, Morty
-Vs Morty! With Exeggcutor's new Choice Scarf as a temporary hold item, he defeats Morty's entire team in one hit and I win the Fog Badge!
-After the battle, I backtrack to Olivine City and catch a Staryu to use as a Surf/Whirlpool HM slave.
-Now that I can surf I decided to head east to Mahogany Town instead of Cianwood City
-I battle some trainers on Route 42 and head straight through Mahogany up to beat some more trainers on Route 43
-I arrive at the Lake of Rage and capture the Red Gyrados
-I meet Lance of the Elite 4 and decide to help him drive Team Rocket out of Mahogany Town
-We clear out their secret base causing them to retreat and I start to head back west towards Cianwood City
-Currently:Surfing Route 41 on the way to Cianwood

As Ghost-type trainer I don't think I'll need to pass ATTACK. It would be good for Banette though. I will make Dusclops my wall/status inflicter ;)

However I fail to see why you would want a Ninjask on your team since he's not ghost.

Edit: Never mind I remembered how to get Shedinja now.

The HM slave thing is up to you. I trust people will do the right thing and not utilize their HM slaves. I don't care if you used it to revive one of your pokemon because frankly I've done that before when I only had Seel. However, I do mind when you start attacking and trying to win a battle with it.

Lol, Trapinch wasn't listening and got raped, so I sent in Gabite and his Gengar was faster, somehow, and he was practically OHKOing Gabite, so after he knocked him out I sent in Sentret, revived Gabite, and healed him up, then Defense Curled (I had no attack moves that would hit) Sentret until Gengar ran outta PP on all moves, cause if I would have switched in Gabite, it all would have started over, lol.

^ Lol @ ridiculously long run-on sentence.

Just beat Morty. His Haunters and Gastly were easy, but his Gengar was annoying when it put Scizor to sleep. But OpalFruits pulled through for me with Pursuit and Bullet Punch.

Scizor and Prinplup are level 27, Aron is level 26.

@blaQk: So Gengar died from struggle? That's fine then...

I'd like to join, if its okay.

Name: Gold
Type: Fighting
Version: Heart Gold

Will start soon. I'll edit this post for starting details and delete if you don't accept me.

Also, if anyone wants to trade me a Tyrogue and/or a Riolu (in egg or not i don't care) that'd be awesome!. Also, if anyone could trade later on so i can get a machamp that'd be great thanks.

I had a big long editted post typed up but because I have under 15 posts on the forums and I had pictures I lost the post so!

having trouble deciding on a type. any suggestions? please not anything that'll suck worse than bug, ok?

Username: Legendarian Mistress
Version: Heart Gold
Type: Bug
Team: Butterfree, Parasect, Forretress, Armaldo + Ninjask

Update:

— Started game
— Chose male character, named self Benny
— Chose a Totodile, nicknamed Croc
— Got the PokéGear and changed the theme to the fifth background
— Got Professor Elm's number
— "Croc doesn't seem used to its own name yet." Seriously, it is a male Pokémon, so they should call them by gender, not it
— Let's go into the wild beyond, huh Croc?

TEAM:

Croc/Totodile
Male/level 5
— Scratch
— Leer

Update # 2:

— Got the Running Shoes and Map Card from the old guy in Cherrygrove
— By the time I reached Mr. Pokémon's house, Croc was at level 7
— Obtained the Mystery/Togepi Egg that I have to return to Professor Elm. Just WHY do I have to return it? Why can't I hatch it myself, without a researcher interfering?
— I exit Mr. Pokémon's house, get a call from aforementioned Professor about Giovanni's son stealing Chikorita, says I have to come back immediately
— So I make the journey back to Cherrygrove where I heal and then get assaulted by the former TR Leader's son
— Beat the crap outta him, proceed onto New Bark Town where I hand the Egg over to Professor Elm (against my will, mind you)
— I go home and decline mum's offer to save my money
— Then I head west to Route 29 where I have Lyra shove a "How to catch Pokémon" lesson up my butt
— Onto Route 30 where I can FINALLY catch myself a female Caterpie!!
— Searched for a female Caterpie, ending up finding one at level 3!! Nicknamed her Orchard
— Returned to Cherrygrove to heal. Nurse Joy asked me if I would like her to heal my partners... I'm like "Yeah, what do you think I'm here for?!" She heals Orchard and Croc. Will now go back to Route 30 to grind till Orchard evolves into Butterfree

TEAM:

Orchard/Caterpie (Serious nature)
Female/level 3
— Tackle
— String Shot

Note: I searched for an hour on Wednesday looking for a Docile natured female Caterpie, but my search was in vain. I wasted a lot of balls too. Not good. Also, EJ, will edit in pictures later if that's okay.

Don't think Shedinja would survive that long anyway XD
The thought that it dies in 1 turn under Hail when fighting Red makes me shudder.

Completely agree, lol, super type coverage.

GO KANGASKHAN!!!

Grass Challenge Update 5

  • After surfing for a while I arrive in Cianwood City to challenge the next gym
  • Once again I easily clear out all of the trainers in the gym and work my way toward the gym leader
  • Bayleef evolves into Meganium!
  • Meganium learns Petal Dance!
  • Vs Chuck! Chuck's Double Team/Focus Punch combo was no match for my new Meganium as Petal Dance took out Primeape in two hits. In the end Leafeon defeats Poliwrath and I win the Storm Badge!
  • Once I left the gym Chuck's wife gives me HM02(Fly) as a reward for defeating Chuck(Luckily I already caught a Hoothoot a while back)
  • Now that the gym is out of the way, I pick up the medicine for Jasmine's Ampharos and head to the northern area of Cianwood where I meet Suicune and Eusine again.
  • Suicune appears to have chosen me which makes Eusine challenge me to a battle
  • I defeat Eusine and he continues to follow Suicune(STALKER!!!)
  • Then I fly back to Olivine City to deliver the SecretPotion to Jasmine
  • With Amphy feeling better again Jasmine happily returns to the gym
  • Vs Jasmine! Leafeon easily takes care of her two Magnemite in one hit with dig but things get challenging when she calls on her Steelix. Steelix defeats my Leafeon, Bellossom, and Weepinbell before Meganium defeats Steelix with a Petal Dance and helps me earn my sixth gym badge
  • Currently preparing for the 7th gym
