4th Gen more of a technical question

    ok so i have a Nintendo DS and so does my GF.

    no more gbas for me, how would i go about trading through the DS's? would i still need a link cable or something or will the wifi things pick it up?

    I had to find this out the hard way myself too. You're unable to trade over using DS's. The links and wireless adapters are not compatable with the DS. Unless you're talking about D/P but that's another story.
     
    I think when I get a DS I'll be keeping my GBA just for when I need to trade.

    Oh and btw this is the wrong section should be in Other Pokemon Games, methinks.

    Sorry, i don't understand your question.

    But I think the WiFi picks it up, yeah. But you need the stuff for it.
    Or if your DS's are close they will automatically pick up their signals and you will be able to trade.
     
    I think this answers it.

    1) No you cant trade between DS and GBA. However you can transfer GBA Pokemon to DS with the PAL Park thing.

    2) Your an idiot for throwing away your GBA cos now you cant play GBA Colour games.

    I just bought Red and Yellow and Crystal.
    Sorry Guys, i didn't really have a taste of games in that time.
