Most and least favourite Pokémon Movie

Since we already have similar thread about anime episodes, I thought it would be interesting to know what movies people liked and what they didn't. In the poll I only put favourite movies, but feel free to tell us what movies you didn't like either.

For me, the best was Movie 10, for the way it pictured Darkrai and for the fact Ash needs help from Dawn to save the day. I also like movie 7 for the unique environment it took place in.
My least favourite definitely is Movie 9, which was supposed to be about May and Manaphy, but in the end, Ash "stole" both Manaphy and the hero time for himself.

As much as I love gen 6, it's movies were horrible and boring as hell.
My fav movie is definitely the first one, it actually has a movie vibes, unlike the other movies. They just get repititive with the cute talking Pokemon interacting with Ash and his gang. Can't stand it.

I wouldn't say I hate any of the movies. The movie I really love is The Power Of One. The villain, the soundtrack, the location, everything was great.

Plus it has the best song of Pokemon movie history in it.



So much emotion in that song, especially with the stuff going on on the screen.

Pokemon 4Ever, or as its known by the name Celebi: Voice of the Forest. I really like this movie, as it was the first one I watched. It had a good idea behind it. We got to met Professor Oak as a child, we learned about the past, and how things were in child Oak's time. Watching him try to get back home in his own time was also nice. I also felt the antagonist was quite competent in this version, and the climax of this movie actually made me cry. It is the only thing in the Pokemon anime AT ALL, that has achieved this feat for me.

As for my least favorite... probably the Genesect movie. Very weak movie, in my opinion. The villain wasn't all that great, the plot was overall rushed, and the story wasn't very captivating. I found it to be a very poorly focused movie. I don't think I'll ever watch this one again. Then again, most of the Unova movies were kind of bland to begin with, which is why I pretty much dislike all of the Unova ones except for the Victini one for the mere fact that there's two of them instead of one.

Out of the ones I've seen so far, Spell of the Unown is my favourite and Jirachi Wishmaker is my least favourite.

If I had to pick a favorite, it'd definitely be Heroes due to my recently found love for Latias. I watched it a few times as a kid, but it is so much more enjoyable for me now, seeing Latias just seeing her fly around and be cute and such <3

As for the other movies...

I don't think much needs to be said about the original three. They were all incredibly badass, for the most part anyways. Kind of helped by the fact that they were shown in theaters around here at the time, although I never got around to seeing them myself when they were out, sadly. I remember seeing Destiny Deoxys so much as a kid, a bit more than the other Hoenn movies for whatever reason. Seeing it again just brings back so many memories. I remember particularly liking Mystery of Mew; it was the first time I remember seeing Lucario, and I loved the movie's emotional moments.

I also really loved Giratina and the Sky Warrior, particularly because Shaymin's Sky Forme's voice was the same as Tails' (my favorite Sonic character) at the time. I haven't seen any of the BW movies, and while I found Diancie & The Cocoon of Destruction's story lacking and its pacing awkward and just very, very...off, I still love watching it. The animation was beautiful as usual, and the action and music were great. The thing that really does it for me is that I have quite the soft spot for Ash's XY travelling partners, and the three legendary Pokémon featured in the movie. It did have some nice emotion as well.
